I truly hope they have better things in store for them than being a part of a band. These band members are good accompaniment for them and it helps to share that bond and understanding with all the members of the band. They work well together.
And I am still waiting for a Arunita-Nihal duet. I was hoping to get one in UK concert but it didn’t happen!
I had really liked Aru’s duet with Nachiket. They both seemed carefree and enacted pretty well. I think their voices matched well too. I didn’t like her duet with Danish or even Ashish.
Agreed. As things stand in India these days, the market for independent music bands is almost non-existent. In the 1980s and 1990s probably the acceptance was much more, and record companies encouraged independent artists. Over the last 3 decades the non-Bollywood music industry has virtually become extinct.
So I do hope and wish that these folks achieve success in the mainstream - but while that happens they may decide to do something like this. I am just speculating, of course. I recognize that creating a band may actually work against their mainstream success - but I hope they recognize that as well!
Yes, Arunita's duet with Nachiket was quite good - he is a good singer and was able to match her skills. Personally I find that his voice was too soft on II 12 - but having seen / heard his later work, I feel that might be the doing of The Content Team in how they asked him to sing. I have seen this with PD as well - in many cases in II 12 he was too soft and tended to become nasal - but when he sings the same song elsewhere he really sings with an open voice and sounds much better.
