This is against the rules but in one of my dearly loved show, there was a similar double role thing and the FL realised right away that this ain't her husband the moment she saw him and she told him that you know you can look like my husband but I know it's not him. When they brought her double, he couldn't tell them apart and she said you don't love me, you just love my face or you could've told us apart.. it's a very shallow idea of love.
Here I feel that Monu still isn't "in love" with Karan, she likes him, no doubt but she isn't at the phase/point of love yet. Because how can you not tell him apart after hugging/holding his hand, anything else.
Can we not tell our friends apart just by their touch? Like peeche se aa kar ankhe dhak k bole guess who (without speaking) won't you guess who the person is almost correct? Then this person you are in love with.. kaise nahi pata chala ki wo koi aur hai
If the writers wanna show Monu getting the credit of knowing it's not Karan, she should've had a stronger doubt than Sanj. Simple.
