Babul is out on audio streaming platforms. I don't think anyone else other than the greats could have sung this better. Arunita has put so much feeling into the song that I wonder how she didn't break down while singing! Superlative! 10/10.
Also a note of appreciation for the music and the arrangement. The mood has been captured well.

Just going through the first comments that are coming in on YT. It is amazing to see that everyone has written long comments, as opposed to the typical one-liners. Clearly, Arunita's singing has touched the hearts of all the listeners! And the visuals only make the whole experience more emotional!

I have heard this 4 times since morning - 1 on audio and 3 on video. And I just can't hold back the tears every time. For one, the lyrics are super sentimental, and on top of that Arunita has sung this song with so much feeling as if she is going through this herself! This is the mark of a great singer: to be able to bring in the actual emotions without necessarily having experience it by themselves. And then the arrangement - the choice of instruments that are so perfectly in sync with the visuals. The soft and mellow melodies when Arunita is singing, and the merry and celebratory orchestration when the general wedding scenes are shown and there are no vocals!
I can't say this enough - Arunita is truly blessed! What an incredible performance she has given!
The visuals in Babul are from a real wedding. No wonder the emotions of the girl and her father look so real. The IG accounts of the bride and groom are private, but you can see some IG posts from the wedding by searching for the hashtag krashthewedding. The groom seems to be from a family of diamond merchants, going by the URL mentioned on his IG profile.
