I have a different take.

Earlier he was supporting Shruti because of vaada and guilt of killing his friend.

But with time, Shruti realised the perks of living a 'non criminal' life and manipulated him to think that she didn't want to go back to the jungle. This is the reason he asked her to not come to the jungle and supported her in front of Sada, conveniently forgetting that as soon as Sada is alive, the vaada is null and void and technically he shouldn't be speaking like a lawyer about a woman to her own husband.

Anyway, because Shruti doesn't want to go back and V is soft on giving Saahas a good life by sponsoring his education and lalanpalan, he has asked DIG to reinstate her into mainstream society.

Aur vaise bhi Shruti jungle main/Sada ke paas vapas jayegi to track 2.0 kaise banega

But my question is when he could have spoken to the DIG in the beginning itself, explained the situation( as he claims now that SH is not a criminal) and asked for her to be connected to an NGO why not earlier and why now. She was pregnant then, and that too was a delicate situation if being a single mother to a new born is. The way they have resolved SH issue so easily is my bone of contention. If this was such a smooth solution V should have done it initially. Family and Sai would never have gotten involved if he had done that. Things wouldn’t have been this out of hand. Thats what I meant at professional front too, If he brought this to DIG right after his mission, DIG would not have agreed for getting her go scottfree or sending her to NGO. DIG would have retained her for questioning Sada's whereabouts etc. Now that DIG also feels guilty due to him being involved with Virat and Sai personally, Virat demanded that favor from DIG.

But would join in to insult Sai, encourage their verbal insults, would have problem with Sai giving back. When Shruti was back I thought they would clear the birth certificate issue. But the opposite happened. He wants to keep his name as Sahas father on the birth certificate. Before he gave his name to hide Shruti’s identity and avoid her arrest. But why now? I feel its wrong in many ways. That would make Sahas a Chavan, which he is not. It will make Shruti and him to be in an ema because she was married to Sada and him to Sai. Most importantly that is Sada’s right. Sada is the father. He heard how Sada didnt like seeing Virat’s name as the father. He knew Sada was willing to talk it out because of Sahas when in the jungle. Then how could he do this to Sada? And whats wrong if Sada is written as the father? Does all criminals child live with their head down because their parents are criminal.
If he wants to sponsor Sahas education then he could be the godfather or adopted Sahas. Or he is confident now that everyone has accepted he has done no wrong so he can do anything that he feels right?

From whatever I understood virat has love for Sai in his eyes...he liked her antics...but ignored it...I felt it on maha -episode...like someone said instead of sai saying I am sorry...I love you had done wonders...He doesn't want sai as friend...but want her as his wife....they made loopholes in story....but I think shruti track before confession was better than after....emon failed to believe rono after being lovey dovey couple for years....but here what lacked in their marriage was shown clearly...communication issues and lack of trust from both sides...second shruthi track was not lack of trust but lack of priority....These two have to sit and talk without interference of anyone specially aai and useless dada who tries to be saviour but are destroyers in real sense...anyway samrat deserves pakhi

But they did show introspection on Sai's part even when she says it after a while & after he went away she did feel guilty... I'm actually surprised seeing how they're shaping him up. Why they're making people hate him more & more???
