I have always wanted to ask you what work do you do ( if you don't mind sharing) and how do you manage to find time to keep up with all the soap operas that you watch? 😆

In the long run, WFO is better than WFH for our bodies.

It was quite depressing to do WFH for me. I personally like talking with different people and moving out of house gives us that opportunity. I detest meeting on computer screens aka the famous Zoom unless its out of the country.

And its a great feeling to return home after work rather than being in the same environment whole day and night.

As Abhishek Upmanyu says "Yahi baatein toh baad mein yaad aayengi".

Now, on topic tell na what do you prefer. 😳

I don’t have the luxury of WFH so I would LOVE to have that option. I prefer entertainment from home because I have an introverted soul stuck in an extroverted body (if that makes sense). 😆

Interesting, although most people when interviewed at my office said they don’t worry much about the office arrangements i.e. lifts, meeting rooms etc but more the crowd of public transport.

@OP - WFH is great, saved a ton of money - transport/lunch/work clothes. And that extra 2hrs of sleep is amazing - no getting ready and then commuting. But having said that, going in was great for mental health. Those random conversations usually don’t happen virtually anymore. The one where you discuss that latest show. Or the lunch catch ups and work socials. Those I really miss. Also low-key miss the 101 food options lol

Always said, I feel bad for the new starters/graduates. It’s so hard to learn a new job virtually and so much easier to swivel your chair around and ask the boss without having to check their teams status to see if they’re free for a chat.

I love WFO. It's as real as it gets. Love talking with my colleagues, having lunch with them, meeting new people personalities in real, celebrating little achievements of the collegues and everyone's birthdays, discussing about life and projects. Office environment is lively, motivates me to achieve more, keeps my brain active and gives me a sense of satisfaction. WFO means a happy life for me.

WFH sucks. It rots my body, mind and soul. The life seems stuck.

Work from home. I find myself a lot more productive at home. I like having my cats around me all day. And I love cooking a nice hot meal for lunch instead of packing lunch or buying lunch.

When the weather is nice, I do like biking to work. I do like seeing coworkers. But during winter, having to take the bus and stepping out, in general, makes me sad and miserable.

Since our employees are spread across 17 different buildings on campus many people actually prefer virtual meetings even when in the office because it means no one has to travel between buildings. But, of course, some meetings are also better in person.

Although my employer is giving us wfh flexibility they are allowing only a max of two days. Plus they value in-person work more than wfh. I feel like I am an a productive and sensible employee who knows when to wfh and when to go in. I wish I had the flexibility of choice. I don't want to go in if there are no important meetings. So even though I love my job - I am mentally assessing what I want out of work and thinking of what my next steps will be.
