Video is good. As Choklate pi stated the song was gifted to him by Vipin and the video was already shot. Some other girl had sung the song but then they used Arunita’s voice and also got it arranged by PD.
Wonder if they will release a studio version of it too.
Feel bad for the girl who got replaced.
Even for movie songs they have more than one singer sing and then release only one. I think even PD sang for Antim but his voice was not used. I remember Sayli had also mentioned that PD has a song In Salman’s movie.
I remember Arijit once insulted Salman after an award show and then Salman never used his voice. I think Arijit had sung some Bodyguard or another movie song which was eventually sung by Rahat Fateh Ali khan.
Music industry is tough. Survival of the fittest. Good to see Arijit succeed even after getting banned by Salman.

I agree. It was sad to hear CP mention that in the interview.
Sonu Nigam has been quite outspoken about this. He claims that 3 decades ago when he started out the music director had the final say on who sang the song, but these days the music director gets the song recorded by many artists and then the producers decide which version goes forward.
About Antim - Runa Ashish (Filmy Khichdi channel) too had reported that as per her sources PD had recorded a song with a folk-song type of feel. But then who knows what went wrong.
Arijit has issued public apologies to Salman Khan a few times, but to no avail.
Music industry is tough, but survival is not necessarily of the fittest in the sense of being most talented. There are several factors beyond the talent that come into play.
