That awkward moment when your two year long crush that *you* turned down of your own will,

who you "met" on a dating app, transitioned to insta and texts, with the intention of meeting them the week after .....

but never did cuz he was so freaking perfect that it gave me a serious complex ... but continued texting for a while till I texted him, "perhaps in a parallel universe" cuz I never thought he'd like me after meeting him, and didn't want that rude awakening to be a reality,

finds a new girl, who happens to be Miss Philippines USA 2021,

who is now taking up his insta feed like nobody's business,

who hadn't chucked me off his follower/following for some reason,

So I sent him a quick, hey, I'm really happy you found someone, but since my ego just died a thousand deaths and I would like to end my pain before my rock bottom finds a basement, I'm chucking you off my list here ..... nothing personal against you and I wish all the best. :)

..... I did that at 3 am last night. And then at around 3:30 am, after tossing and turning, I shot up and grabbed my phone again. I'd already unfollowed him and chucked him off my followers list too, so it turns out his insta page is actually private even though he has thousands of followers and I thought he was some insta influencer, and I can't see anything anymore.

Continuing the story, I felt extremely stupid for even shooting him that message at all cuz why does he need to know that I'm gutted, right?! ...... Chances are he didn't even notice my name missing from his list. Nah, probably not. And it turns out insta has the option to "unsend" the DM if the other person hasn't had the chance to see it. So I "unsent" it, and am hoping he never got a notification.

If he did, well .... eff it, my "image" is down the drain ..... but it's not like he's single anymore, for me to care about my "image" in his eyes. Right?! 😵

Not too long ago, I was rolling my eyes at Minty's posts on I-F.... but I feel like I pulled a Minty too ..... except he was a better deal than Hrithik (in my opinion) and gave me a serious complex, which is why we never met. 😭

I can't admit this to anyone in real, so please forgive me for venting here .... lighten my chest a little.😭

GODDAMNIT Smitten! I thought there was going to be some major twist in the story when you grabbed your phone at 3:30m. After twisting and turning, you go on instagram and realise that you have a message request from Mr Dreamy. He couldn’t reply to your DM directly since you unfollowed him, so his message was filtered into the request section. You open his message and it says …

Mr Dreamy (3:05am) sent:

I never thought you’d feel the same way. I’ve been waiting for you to realise I’m the one for over two years now Smitten. I gave up hoping you’d reciprocate my feelings. But it’s not too late. Just tell me there’s hope and I’ll wait for you … forever.

LMFAO. But no, you had to unsend the message and forever let me drown with curiosity. I feel like I’m part of your one-sided relationship. Now we both don’t have closure. 😭
