Yeah social media and even critics sympathize with MJ more.
Honestly, I felt bad for Dua especially when MJ tried to manipulate her to take her to USA and behave like a jerk but after that MJ looked better.
Like MJ wanted some time to work it out and he even said he will listen to her if he believes in it, but the thing they showed was very problematic like literally forcing someone to recite kalma đ. If Dua and her family is so pious then they must know our Prophet never demeaned non believers and Prophet said give them time and guide them with care so that they can figure out the importance of imaan. Here it was not guidance but all Dua did is 'You are useless because you are an atheist', that itself is problematic.
Now I like the story more, MJ is faking but he probably will figure out his faith all himself and Dua has no contribution here, I am glad, by faking it he will eventually see the beauty of his religion. I am liking his character progress, like he is already praying and visiting mosque even though just to fake but the actions are slowly becoming his routine and next week he recites Qalma, glorious moment. I could see his hesitation and a sense of guilt while he recited, I hope they focus more on this instead of random Dua Taqi stuff
Lastly, Taqi and Dua have no relevance in the story it is just another way to make MJ lose it, at the end anyway he will either end up being in peace like Mir Hadi or might end up dying like Farhad
Also Charu, ye MJ ki maa, I do not understand, she instigated him to fake and now pretending that she is a guilty, ye kya tha? no consistency
