Without Bakwaspolice on duty, the bakwas is piling thick and fast😒 She knows her gang is here waiting for her whenever she wants to come back and play with us. In the meantime I hope wherever Senora is, she is still shaking things up

First of all, the conversation is not about whether having a bit of control or restrictions is good or not. I only stated my understanding that I cannot seem to see how marriage is a personal "choice". All I said is, eventhough women feel like nobody is forcing them to marry, they see it as a "choice" because of social conditioning, probably as I mentioned earlier because of the "perks" of marriage in terms of societal acceptance or whatever. Because if it is about love and a lifelong partner, I don't see how marriage is even important. It becomes important because society says so is what I am saying.

I am not conditioned for seeing marriage as oppressive because, I have been conditioned my whole life to believe marriage is good and necessary which I clearly realise, which is also why I will be marrying. 😅

Array, baba. I do not think women who marry are repressed. Not even by an inch. 😅 I just see it as another attempt at bargaining with patriarchy. We are all feminists but expecting our every action to be feminist is impossible. I mean look at us watching this crappy serial. Do you think that is feminist? No, right? We all make un-feminist decisions and that is okay. I do too, but I am not going to pretend like it's my "choice" and I am being progressive.

How does my opinion on men has anything to do with gender fluidity? My opinions on men is solely based on their social position and power that stems from their gender. The cultural and social capital and the privilege they derive from their maleness. It is a societal problem and how men are again "socially conditioned" which is why gender fluidity becomes important as well. My problem is with the men who are stuck in the heteronormativite idea of gender and derives all kinds of power from it. I am always blown away (I shouldn't be, because it's the basic expectation 😆) by men who realise and acknowledge their privilege. Like accepts the fact that they have it easier because they are men. Of course, intersectionality also comes into play. So, when I say men, this is what I mean. May be I should have been more clear. Otherwise, I wouldn't have many men in my life if this is not the case. 🤔

Having children. I am not gonna comment on that. The issues I have with it is entirely different. But why has marriage become necessary to provide a loving home for a child? Because of the perks and safeguards that come with it, right? But then there are also so many single parents out there doing a stellar job.

See, ultimately I will go and get married and may have a kid too, but I doubt my views are gonna change. May be somebody will give me a new perspective. But right now, I haven't seen a compelling argument.

Also, I don't think I am a Catherine MacKinnon, Shulasmith Firestone kind of feminist. Look at me, I live a very conventional life abiding to the rules of society. A short hair cut, a nose ring and wanting to get a tattoo is hardly gonna make me rebel! 😅

@Intoxicator and @austen-eliot, I have no intentions of convincing any of you that marriage cannot be a choice. Like I said this is an understanding I derived from what I see around me and what I read. Like you said this is my opinion and I am going to have it unless I see a compelling counter argument. I am not trying to make anyone feel bad. If anyone is feeling bad it has to be me because after all these beliefs I am still going to get married. Lol. There was a point where I thought I am such an idealist. In a sense, I actually feel relieved that I am not because that is just life is. 😅

I also have a lot to say about LGBTQIA having to fight to marry, but I don't want to. 😅 This already is too much.

Oh boy, this sounds like FUN!

Why on earth is Jijaji still jumping over gates? Abhi tak Manish ne ghar mein jaayaz entry nahi di kya?

I think HC looks best in slimline kurtas and sherwanis. The overfitted shirts in YRKKH and the deep neck or sleeve less t-shirts he wore in Bepannah both make him look a bit sasta...

As for Akshu, I think the production house is determined to dress her in the most bizarre and frumpy clothes they can find. Maybe all her outfits are leftovers from TVs bygone eras🤣

How does jija ji manage to breathe in those clothes? itne tight..and when he jumped over the gate, I thought definitely kuch phatne wala hai

And why was Akshu dressed like 80s ke films ki bar dancer? 😕 So ajeeb.

Ok so let's cut to the most important part of this comment - DO you have a tattoo? Inquiring minds want to know😆

I've been wanting to get a tattoo for a while so I love hearing from people who have one and what made them get it and whether the needles were super-painful and if they've had it a while, is it still fun or do they ever get tired of having it on their bodies...
