An episode without Abhilasha is welcome, and I liked the focus on emotions and supportive family. However ...

Abhimanyu vowing to kill Daulat if necessary is dramatic, but I would like Abhimanyu to acknowledge that he belongs to Latika and his decision affects her future. Announcing that he won't stay in the village, that he'll ask farmers to sell their land to build a township, and now that he's planning to kill Daulat ... he's treating Latika as an observer rather than his partner, and I don't like that.

Taramati's stated reason to go back to Sarjerav was so that he would think she's as docile as before, leave her family and hosts alone, and not suspect that she's spying on his moves. It doesn't make sense that she's giving Daulat an ultimatum to plead guilty, or she'll testify against him, and saying that he can murder her but she's not afraid of him. Where is her subtlety?

Can the story get more implausibly contrived than this? Abhimanyu warns Abhilasha to stay away from Daulat for vague reasons, not because Daulat has committed a murder and speaks of his intention to commit three more!

The lawyer remarked that none of the farmers had given him their land papers, and so nothing could be done on their behalf. I could understand if the farmers had to sign onto a lawsuit, but shouldn't this be a criminal case of fraud, for which the complaining witnesses don't have to be the victims themselves? If Sarjerav's modus operandi is to forge signatures and thumbprints, the papers that Sajjan collected must have the particulars of the original owners from whom Sarjerav claims to have bought land. And after all that drama of Hema giving papers to Daulat and getting back fake papers, and Bhanupriya having to steal the original papers, and not putting them in the safety deposit box because Sarjerav owns the bank ... shouldn't we expect that Sarjerav stole the original papers from all of his other victims too?

It feels strange to listen to Abhimanyu and Latika responding to Daulat with humour, after Indu's murder and all, but when Latika said that dogs don't eat salt, I thought, what if they brought back Gangi? I would welcome a story about a pet animal instead of the inchoate stories that are floating around on the show right now.

One moment, the families are asking for a grandchild; in the next breath Abhya wants to leave the village; but he also likes Abhilasha's idea to expand the mall; Lati is interested in farm work (Who does the housework all day now, with Indu dead and Hema in jail?); but maybe she'll continue her education and go into civil service; we get a hint that Tulasa or Akkā Ātyā might visit; but most of the show is still Ābā intimidating Akkāsāheba while Daulat and friends run about getting into fights, sometimes instigated by Kamini, who hasn't been on screen for months. Kāyalā, writers?

Chaitanya Bagul as Vikya did a good mimicry of Daulat's signature lines. I like it when the supporting cast members get opportunities to show their talents. Now, please let Vikya do something more than mimicry.

The scene of Bāpū and Appā walking together was wasted on shipping Abhya + Lati. I think the creative team has shown convincingly that the leads' personalities and qualities complement each other. If anyone who is watching isn't convinced of that, telling us what to think won't help, will it? I would rather hear the two old friends talking about other subjects. Appā is still grieving and recovering from a heart attack. Bāpū has been a few months away from retirement for eighteen months now. The supporting cast, including Jayashri (Lati's mother) and Ājī, should have their own pursuits and be used to enrich the story.

Taramati must be faking her gullibility, and Sarjerav must be listening to her conversation with Latika, but what is her trap for Daulat?

Showing the murder of a beloved character is a gamble at best. Some viewers will quit; if the creative team wants to keep the rest, and attract new viewers, there has to be a payoff. Simply revealing who did it isn't satisfactory. There must be consequences for the villain, even if that means that he leaves the show.

Here, Daulat's punishment has been reversed, and the show is trying to interest us in Abhimanyu being framed for the murder of Taramati, a peripheral character. Why should we care about a second murder if the first one isn't taken seriously?

It looks like the show is trying to keep the story in the same cycle. Daulat tries to break Abhimanyu's legs; no investigation. Daulat ambushes Abhimanyu at the race; no accountability. Daulat plots an explosion at the Divāḷī celebration; nothing happens. Injuries that heal might be let go for the sake of entertainment, but murder?

Taramati's comment that she won't give up an opportunity to keep the human in Daulat alive made me wonder: would Daulat get the death penalty if he confessed?

Maybe someone with legal expertise could comment: how can Taramati say emphatically that no one can sentence Daulat to hang? Does she think that giving Daulat false reassurance ("It's only a few years in prison!") will motivate him to confess? If not ...

Hanging is still the method by which the death penalty is carried out in India, right? And the death penalty is a possible sentence for murder. And when Daulat deprived Indumati of her inhaler, he committed an act with the intention of causing death, which resulted in death - that is murder according to the Indian Penal Code Section 300.

Is there any codified exemption for the murderer feeling paścāttāpa? (Which Taramati malapropped as prāyaścitta when she asked Daulat if he really had it.) If Daulat doesn't confess, but Hema testifies that he was at the crime scene and made her conceal evidence, and Taramati testifies that she heard her own son say that he stepped on the inhaler and kept the broken pieces as a souvenir, can the court find Daulat guilty?

Taramati must be faking her credulity, right? Surely she's not dozing off after dinner every evening without realizing that someone is drugging her. Maybe she thinks getting herself murdered is worth it if the outcome is justice for Indumati?

Can anyone make sense of this intrigue?

I can't get why exactly does Abya trust that Abhilasha. I haven't seen this serial for some time now, but weren't they fighting some time before? And Abhya now hates this village so much now that he is willing to get manipulated by her.

This serial has become so typical now; manipulative city girl, dumb-as-hell village people, sadist villain with backing.

Colours cya gavatli serial bagunch tidak yete, and now this serial has joined the club.

Several months ago, it was brought to my attention that the male lead being manipulated by women is a staple of Hindi daily dramas. In my response, I wrote that I had a better opinion of Marathi male lead characters, and Abhimanyu had never been deceived by anybody. (This was before he ignored Latika's warning and returned Sarjerav's money in cash.) Abhimanyu has to take orders from Abhilasha, but I hope he will catch on to her lies before his character turns into a stereotypical witless male.

I'm repeating myself: in the real world, is it a construction company's responsibility to buy land?

Wouldn't anyone buying land, and hearing of an ownership dispute, run in the opposite direction? How can Abhilasha insist that a bunch of strangers must agree to an out-of-court settlement so that she can conveniently buy everything from one owner - her business partner's sworn enemy? Who would take the risk that 28 different families could try to reclaim their farmlands from her, after she buys them and builds on them?

In the internet age, how can Abhilasha say that she only found out that they didn't buy enough land when she came to Makhmalabad in person? Wouldn't the architect's design be based on a map?

How many people in Mumbai care about Abhilasha's big announcement of a township in Makhmalabad, 170 km away?

Instead of saying, I as the boss declared the project and committed to some pre-launch booking, we can't turn back now, so you as the employees have to protect the company's reputation, any sensible business owner would say to herself (not in front of employees!), the architect's design and the publicity will go to waste, but we can cancel quietly; at least we haven't spent time and money on the site yet!

I find it jarring that whenever Abhimanyu is talking about serious issues, the infatuation music starts to play for Abhilasha. She isn't being subtle about her interest in him. She asked Vivek to tell her that Abhimanyu's not upset with her, and when Vivek replied that her decision is final, she snapped, " friendly vāgate hyācā artha mī tumacī maitrīṇa [āhe asā hota] nāhī!" (Skipping words in the scripted dialogue changes the meaning!) How long before every labourer on the site starts to talk about Abhilasha's constant questions about Abhimanyu personally?

Yes, Abhilasha, Abhimanyu is intelligent, but what he just explained to you is common sense, not expert knowledge! If you aren't prepared to go to court, you won't get a settlement.

A few days ago, Abhilasha wanted to pay more for labour and materials (recurring expenditures), and she said that there are plenty of funds to buy land. Now, she balks at the idea of paying one-time legal fees against the value of land. Until she thinks that it's for Abhimanyu, of course.

When Hema was replaced, when Sarjerav was replaced, no one felt the need to explain to the viewers why the character has a different face from yesterday. But Kamini has been off-screen for months, without even a flashback, and the writers decided to insult our intelligence with a joke about plastic surgery! Kamini who was proud of her looks would never have surgery to the point of being unrecognizable!

When Kamini was to be written out, Daulat was suddenly aware that she had been using him and her interest was in Abhimanyu. Now it's as if he never kidnapped her, and he's her pawn again! Kamini's pursuit of Abhimanyu was never suspenseful. Her alternation between spite and lust was contrived, predictable, and futile. Why couldn't the writers just let go the character of Kamini?

Now is the time to show Latika finding Abhimanyu desirable and flirting with him (in her own way), not these other women!
