His phone rang again and he said, “Maybe it’s Aranya. You’re right. I should talk to her and ask her out.”

Akshara hit his chest and he chuckled.

“Trouble, that’s what you are”, Abhimanyu whispered and Akshara tried to move out of his embrace but he tightened his hold.

He brushed her hair aside and cupped her face. He could feel her heart thundering and he laughed softly.

“Every time I come close if your heart rate is going to go up we have a big problem”, he joked.

His phone beeped indicating an emergency signal and Akshara pulled away. Abhimanyu checked the message and frowned.

“There’s an emergency. I need to go.”

He brushed his fingers against her cheek and left.'"
