I entirely disagree with you.
If its about being kisi ka bacha kisi ka Bhai then why would akshara leave her house and get married to Abhimanyu? Wo bhi kisi ki beti/ poti/ behen hai.
And ye soche toh India me shadi hongi hi nahi.
At the end being happy matters.
And I don't know why it's a problem when a man is required to leave his house post marriage. Why is that deemed breaking a family?
Why not the same standard for the guy and the girl both?
