chapter 5
You write about little children so well! I love Cheeni. And yes, girl. You go play that basketball. Loved that! (is baby boy around 5? Age ke liye ekdum perfect inspo)
I laughed at how obvious the Rathore ladies were being and Aryan stringing them along perfectly haha. Rascal! Baap aisa hai toh beta/beti kaise honge
Aditya. Sigh. I hate his family already but I understand his need to remain in the closet. Being of a certain sexual orientation isn't a choice, but being a decent human? Now he's lost that already.
chapter 6
Not gonna lie, my eyes bugged out when I saw you posted twice. And then there was a fervent prayer to give you all the good Aryan dreams for the rest of the week so you can hit us with stories over and over again. Jai Sita Maiyya.
Dr.Verma is going to be a favorite when she comes up. She is so wonderfully crafted. The bedside manners, the gentleness, the way she explains things to Imlie. That's basically you as a doctor, no? Every detail regarding the treatment and the process was so very needed. Surrogacy in and of itself is complicated on the medical side, and to know what Imlie's body will be going through adds another layer of heartbreak.
And you know this but I'm going to say it again. My heart is with Imlie. It breaks knowing what she feels is such a real fear. She's trapped in these circumstances and she is only JUST starting to understand the impact of the sacrifices she'll be making. First pregnancies, first baby, first everything that any woman rightfully would consider is a given. Knowing that she will eventually have a happy future with Aryan brings me some comfort but her path there is long.
The four girlies together are friendship goals. So darn sweet.
That scene with the chan chan chan. OH MY LORD. I had visions of it in my head as I pictured Aryan's ears perking up to the sound. And I LAUGHED when the twin destiny came on hahaha. Yes baby, popcorn and wine. Sounds pretty perfect.
