exactly,.. I always felt that abhira won’t have any other people that will interfere in their marriage or create problems for them…they themselves with their faulty personalities will self destruct their relationship… Abhimanyu always believes he’s right…he’s arrogant, and dominating ..and he’ll take this into his marriage…and akshara who’s needy and whiny will cling to him…she’s going to be upset when she has to wait 30 hours to see her husband who’s working..and eventually her neediness will irritate him…🤷🏻♀️
I hate self destructive relationships in tv shows. They're horrible to watch. It's easy to tolerate a villain or an external factor but when the couple itself sabotages the relationship, I absolutely abhor it. They show them doing everything to get together..they fight the whole world..and when they're finally together everything that never mattered before starts becoming an issue and they turn malicious towards each other
Why is emergency equipment not inside the OP? Why did the nurse have to go and get the machine? 😕
Isn't that a waste of precious time?
Was this done only to make Akshu act like an idiot and ask ye kya hai..wo kya hai..has she not watched any tv shows or films? Doesn't she know what that is? 🤔

So any of you guys read Daphne Du Maurier's "Rebecca"?
During the early episodes I was trying to remember what Abhira's dynamic reminded me of. First of course I thought of Jane Eyre but it didn't quite seem right. Then it came to me yesterday.
It's a lot like Max de Winter (who is older, mysterious, handsome, suave and jaded about love) and the unnamed narrator (The Girl who is sweet, innocent, romantic). Max is very brusque and rude to everyone around him but is tender with her when he isn't losing his temper and giving her the cold shoulder 😆 The Girl is indecisive initially because she doesnt know if he loves her, if she's worthy of him etc. etc. Then they evolve beautifully till The Girl becomes the mature in-charge partner and Max finally surrenders his vulnerability to her.Too bad all we got was TOXIC JIJA and SHRIEK-SHU but this is the potential we could've seen develop between them.
Discuss please!
I have nothing nice to say about Rebecca. It's not like I haven't read such books before and enjoyed them even if I disliked all the characters. But this one just made me mad and I was angry the whole time I was reading it. It made me so upset. 😆 The girl was too naive and that guy took advantage of her love for him
I'm not too picky and I've read my share of fluff. But I know what I'm getting into when I read a book..I think I was expecting too much from this one and that was the reason for my disappointment.
It's a classic and a lot of people like it but in the end I just felt like it was all too little too late.
Lol. I think I have a slight masochist streak. That after eating some spicey food, I like to drink slightly hot black tea and I love that burn. 😆
Hey I like this too, drinking hot tea after spicy food and I relish that burn😍

Ik, that was sooo ridiculous.. And her stupid crying, and shouting from outside the OT, and Abhi hearing her and being distracted! Bah!

Wow.. no I missed that! That is sad...
Yeah I do wonder if Arohi is more sinned against than sinning when things like this are pointed out? Or we see Akshu being viewed as the bearer of filial traits from both Sirat and Naira.
Also I don't recall any scenes of Kairav hugging and comforting Arohi?
Akshi getting the good traits from Sirat and Naira and Aarohi being compared to her Nani Sheila who was a wicked woman!
Actually Sirat's background is comparable to Aarohi's and Aarohi gets that single-minded dedication from her mom. Sirat had a shitty childhood, her mother abandoned her when she was 5 and ran away with another man. Then her dad dies and the mother shifts with her new husband back to the upper storey of the building where Sirat lives with her nani. And so all her growing up years she had to face the abuse of her mother and her husband and also see all the love she didn't get being lavished on her step-bro.

they gave Karthik class…he always looked great….But jijaji they’ve made him into a gunda. They gave him such a respectable profession…but then they gave him gunda mawali background music ..I mean like really…today the man was going to Go do major heart surgery and they gave him music like he’s a big Don and he’s going to go beat up some goons 😂…these writers have made abhimanyu into a thug.. 🤦🏻♀️. At the same time on colours is thoda sa badal ..and the hero there is also a doctor,.. he’s also a top surgeon…but he has that classy amazing personality to go with it…he’s so refined and dignified…Abhimanyu is just not looking like he should be allowed anywhere near patients ,.. Shaky Jijaji..😂 ..
Spot on. And what is that sliding in and out of the OT like he was skateboarding?!

This is really said actually.
Apart for this, I hate the way female characters are being depicted in the show. I don't want to discuss Mimi and Swarna because they are mere props. Manjari and Akshara are the so called best women in the show and both of them are so similar. They are portrayed as they both live for others, in a way legitimizing sacrifices as integral to women, and there is always this comparison that is being made with their respective sisters on how these two are the best and are pure as milk. 🙄
Whereas Mahima and Aarohi are ambitious but they can't be shown as really good people but as grey characters with villainous streaks. It is literally saying if you have a personality and career goals, there is no way you can be good too. And comes Anisha who they are trying to show so hard as someone with a personality and is not conventional. But she is impulsive and immature, again not a good character. So, unless and until these women are burdened by traditions and society's unrealistic expectations and are constantly working towards fulfilling it, they can't be portrayed as good.
Coming to men, Abhimanyu is best in all sense. He is never seen as grey but a pure soul with flaws. 🙄 Similarly, Anand is a horrible husband and colleague but he is never highlighted as hypocrite or grey. He might not shout at his wife or raise hands on her but he still undermines Mahima and disrespects her and her work. But only Harsh is villianised because he is the only one overtly disrespects women. As if shouting and raising hands at a woman is the only form of disrespect and abuse. 🙄
So, in a scenario like this, why is Mahima focusing more on her work and hospital and expecting Manjari to babysit the kids wrong when Manjari literally has nothing else to do because Birla house has domestic help for every beck and call of hers. Don't tell me making gajjar ka halwa daily is taking a toll on her. 🙄 Isn't this what modern young career women do? They arrange for baby sitters or expects grand parents to look after the kids, and Manjari seems to love it. So why not? And no successful surgeon is going to be jealous of her housewife sister, other than may be the fact that her children are closer to their aunt, because in the beginning itself they have established that Mahima is the decision maker and not Manjari when it comes to the Birla family. And even if they want to show Mahima as grey, why can't they show her as someone who is trying to outrank Anand without engaging in kitchen politics and actually training Aarohi properly as her successor who will grow capable to even outshine her nephew. Isn't that what she should be doing clearly knowing the discrimination and disrespect she faces on a daily basis on gender? And by doing that she will be one upping Anand and Abhimanyu who are constantly undermining her.
But of course, expecting anything out of ITV writers are waste. At times, like so many said women hate women. And Bhavna and Garima are doing a fair job at portraying ambitious career oriented women as horrible people. I still blame patriarchy and social conditioning.
