Arrey Rebecca's been forever on my reading list, and I still didn't get into it, and now you've given the whole story here.. But I guess I will read it anyway for the "compelling read"

May I recommend My Cousin Rachel which is much better (although Rebecca is one of my favorites it does have some teeth-gnashing gender tropes that haven't aged well)

Lol. Didn't I tell you about the non existent stomach lining of mine because of all the spicy food I consume. 😁

Indian food has nice bland options though - i love khichdee for example. Or rice and dahi with a little pickle.
Bland food in the US means oatmeal🤢

I'm sorry to drag the convo back to the show, but there's just one thing I wanted to say since yesterday.. Did you guys notice how when Bade Papa had the heart attack, in his could be last moments, his flashbacks were all about kartik, suvarna, naira, kairav, akshu..in that order..and back again.. Sirat ofcourse didn't figure, never expected her to, he hadn't accepted her even till her death.. But Aarohi didn't figure.. And he was responsible for her from childhood and still he couldn't bring himself to form a genuine bond with the child. She was the youngest when the kids lost their parents. And do you see how it's Aarohi who is always standing aside while kairav, Akshu and others gather together.. Only AG comes then comes to her side.. How is it that people can't see where Aarohi's insecurities and reactions spring from?

A friend of mine eats tbe spiciest food and then immediately eats a sweet, then again spice and sweet.. She does this on a loop.

Yeah I do wonder if Arohi is more sinned against than sinning when things like this are pointed out? Or we see Akshu being viewed as the bearer of filial traits from both Sirat and Naira.

Also I don't recall any scenes of Kairav hugging and comforting Arohi?

Yes. I did notice this. Sirat was nowhere. Aarohi was also nowhere. There was young Kairav and baby Akshara but no Aarohi at all. So, I totally understand Aarohi's resentment and how that might have completely damaged her and pushed her to hate Akshara.
