More so, how would Pawandeep sing English? Never heard him speak in English so far. His village Chowki doesn't even show up properly in Google Maps, so I wonder what exposure he has to English, if any.

I thought the same.. the few times he was promoting a US or UK tour, he seemed to be reading off some script and didn’t look comfortable with English.

It would be more apt for SMP to sing the English portion.
There might be a 4th singer that we may not know as yet.

I think so too. Most likely SMP for English (we have already heard her, probably second in this group jist behind Anushka in terms of language skills), or perhaps Arunita for English (we have heard her also and know her English also to be decent.)

To be clear, I am not saying that Pawandeep is deficient in any way or that lack of English knowledge is a bad thing in any way.

Did Raj Surani completely shelved Octopus project? They seem to became too quiet after Fursat.

I haven't heard all his interviews with Anam Sheikh but in the ones I have heard, he hasn't spoken about shelving it. He has always said that when dates are available we will shoot with Pawandeep and a yet-to-be-identified female lead. Nor have any of the fan pages or even Runa Ashish spoken about this being shelved.

But then, if at all they have to shelve it, they are unlikely to formally announce that.

Pawan may have done Fursat video out of obligation or something or since it was too close to shooting date to back off at that time but it seems like he has now left Octopus too.

Legal proceedings are going on and until matters get sorted it is hard to say which way it will go.
There must be more to the story otherwise people like his choreographer Bob and Ashish wouldn’t unfollow soon after Manjoor Dil release. After the Ghatal Utsav concert, even Pawan unfollowed Octopus.
At the time of Manjoor Dil release, Aru had already let them know she would not be acting anymore and they shot the Pd and Chitra video a few days after that.

It looks complicated but the best thing would be to shelve the project. I hope SMP got paid some as she unnecessarily got dragged into a project where she was not getting much limelight. She is better off without Octopus.
I hope Sony handles the Aru, Pawan and SMP contract with Octopus really well. Apparently there is another investor in this project whose name has not been released. It is not solely Octopus.

I had heard Anam Sheikh mention at one time that the reason Arunita is promoting Fursat on her IG without any delay is that there are legal proceedings going on about her contract. I assumed that has to do with her withdrawal from the contract. I haven't read / heard anywhere on fan pages that Pawandeep too has withdrawn.

While Pawandeep has unfollowed Octopus, he continues to follow Raj Surani, while Arunita continues to follow both handles.

The other investor might be the Seagate India MD at whose house they had gone for dinner some time in Aug last year. If so many parties are involved, I can imagine this must be quite a messy affair!
