Could totally be my own social and cultural biases showing but it just got super annoying, And also, seeing reasonable posts getting swarmed on by the same people spouting the same crap just got too much. There's not scope for middle ground there (maybe a few good souls try).

But that's totally fine, right? I mean if you don't want to engage with people who keep justifying regressive shit, that is okay, right? You can only keep your points across and if it's like shouting at a wall, then you move on. Because I totally get that it's exhausting. This is why I really like Iheartchai's posts. She gets our argument and she watches it knowing and accepting the problems of the characters. But the fans justify anything and everything. I don't know why they can't they just accept this is a substandard shitshow with average and below average acting. But no they pretend like this is some award winning deeply meaningful work of art. So, the annoyance and moving on is justified I guess. Because it's totally okay even for fans to not show up in the forum because negativity affects them, but expecting everyone to tip toe around their feelings is what is screwed up.
