The biggest surprise teams to ever win IPL were Rajasthan Royals - 1yr with Shane Warne captaining - no one even considered them to be in top 6 but still they won. Next was when Deccan Chargers won the title with Adam Gilchrist as captain, not many expected them to reach top 4 either, Rohit was part of the DC team along with VVS Laxman - he took hatricks with bowling ... yep hatricks - 2 of them, not sure if same season or different seasons 😆.

Other than these 2 .. not many surprises in winners since IPL started, last year was kind of surprise as the Dad's Army did horribly in the previous edition - not many expected CSK to win last year.

Usually new players are groomed well under MI, a reason I like them - look at their contributions to the Indian team - Ishan Kishan, Surya, Hardik, Bumrah.

Watson just came in 2018 but Raina was from 1st season if the relationship between Raina and Management isn't spoiled too much and Raina is okay being not a player CSK can get him back in Management.

Bcoz CSK is the only team who has the same head coach from 1st season and they brought back their players like Balaji, Badrinath and Hussey in their management.

The issue with English players is, they may not be available for entire seasons.

Even if they were allowed they will still be foreigner and more than 4 can't be played in 11.

It is always sensible to get good 6 foreign players and many Indian players but KKR was in another tangent and don't know what they were planning and KKR ka yeh naya nahi hain.

It is happening from the time Gambhir left KKR and the team never look stable after he left.

isn't that what they are supposed to do for their new teams ? They can't be loyal to the old team, I don't see many yrs left in Faf to be honest, may be 2 or 3 at best.

RCB is one of my least fav team, thanks to VK .. I couldn't handle the PDA nonsense of Deepika Padukone & Vijay Mallya's son - whatever his name was😆 Was my 2nd choice team when Kumble captained them.
