Umesh is picked for his pace, he's going to leak no.of runs but if its his night, he might pickup 2-3 wickets & bowls unplayable balls. Ishant hasn't done good for a few yrs now, he wasn't selected once in the past as well - he played county cricket, along with Pujara. Ishant looked decent only when he paired up with Dale Steyn at SRH

Shreyas will slot in middle order, openers will be most probably Rana & Venky or Venky & Saha. Saha opened for SRH - other than last yr, he did fairly well with quick starts.

Pat is a good pick for me - as long as he's available for entire season. I am actually perplexed at none picking Chris Morris or Steve Smith

I can understand Umesh getting picked, it's just the team in general looks very haphazard. I can't see any plan in their bids

due to the increase in teams - teams look diluted - if main players get injured in any of the sides, teams will look lopsided due to lack of quality Indian options. Pakistani players availability may have improved overseas picks but nothing could be done about Indian players 😳

Wriddhiman Saha is not in KKR team. He is in Gujarat team.
