does auction happen every year??

Retention does not have any specific rules, so captains who don't deliver are sometimes not retained.

Auction happens low-key every year but mega auctions like this year's is rare, where apart from 30 odd players everyone is up for bidding. Has just happened 1-2 times before I guess.
