Am I the only one who wasnt very happy with ananya’s acting ? at the best she was just okayish. first half she was just being herself .. no need to act itself . second half she had more scenes to showcase her acting chops which according me to was very average performance . I feel like whether sad or angry or confused her face doesnt change much . 😆 she has long way to go

I think they explored this story for OTT only . it wont work with masses at all. OTT was the best choice . Regardless of how the movie would have fared in theatres, Deepika was brilliant . its in and out her movie . She got another fantastic character in her filmography to add . Also, its definitely not KANK reloaded .. cheating part is like tip of an ice berg .. issues shown in the movie were much more deeper .

I did watch the film while cooking so likely I missed a scene or two..

Spoilers ahead

1. Dp goes to the yacht and reads whats app chats of zains with jitesh and tia…how does she freak out that he’s going to kill her? …the chats didn’t say anything weird did they? Did I miss smth..how does she come to know he’s plotting ?

2. What’s zains motive in killing dp? Is he just a horrible douche and is scared she will blab to tia?

3. What’s with the blood that comes out when dp showers afterwards? Is she doing self harm…? looked like she had her period but then why is that relevant?

I’m confused 😐

No way in hell would this have worked in theatre

Those long pauses, dull lighting , lack of humor, lack of thrill , lack of clarity, lack of engagement …nothing abt this is a theatre viewing experience

1. She sees him mixing things in her drink right after she reads those chats.

2. Yes I think so, that's basically it - he was planning his wedding with Tia and needed her money. So he wasn't going to let Tia go or break things off with her. He knew/ felt Alisha was not going to back down and would tell Tia as soon as she learned that he was lying to A and had no intention of leaving Tia.

3. I wasn't sure - either self harm or I wondered if it was meant to show miscarriage.

1. When she read the chats she knew he was lying to her and betraying her. So she got scared and worried. She went up to check what he was doing cause he was msging Jitesh at that moment so I guess she was slowing going up to spy on him.

2. He came from a broken family. He was just hungry to succeed and ofcourse not go to jail. He was a gold digger and social climber and Alisha was now getting in the way of everything he had build and he couldn't let one person ruin it for him.

3. The blood was her miscarriage.

Yes i don't think it would have worked in theatres

Most people would have walked out of the theater prior to intermission or simply not returned post intermission.

Half my family stopped watching 25 mins in. The other half fell asleep and was in shock that another 1.5hrs remained after the first hour post waking up.

The first hour is terribly terribly slow. There is no story tbh, it's just conversation. The bad lighting, the constant waves.... no head nor tails to the characters. The second half is a little better but not by much. It must certainly is no thriller.
