Yeah it should be done away with. After all, we evolve with the times.

Military has uniforms and women in US military can wear hijab. Physicians have a dress code and uniforms in the hospital, but women wear hijabs

OK...so u are saying indirectly that the school would be discriminating..👍🏼

You didn't answer my question though, let's say you give into religious clothing, should Digambara Jains be allowed to attend school naked because of their religious beliefs? Because if you're arguing for turbans and hijabs, then you have to be logically consistent and say yes.

it does most of it atleast .The hijab that those school girls were wearing covered most of their face execpt their eye See the point is not everything is about #mychoice. I cant go give a hight level exam like neet/jee wearing a full lenght salwaar kameez. And salwaae kameez does not covers my face at all while hojab does some of it . Nobody would allow me. Not because they are discriminating but just to avoid malpractice . How difficult it is to understand that . Every educational institution has certain rules to follow that you got to follow

Also how did people assume that following religion means you are being forced? Do you really think that God can be fooled ?

no while turban is just for head hijab is wrapped around entire face you can easily tug it to cover your face of you want same is not true for turband which is just around the haed

There's that word again. Something you have and others don't.

And the scoundrels defense. An accusation of racism for insisting on equality.

And mockery. No difference between you and those men who name call women as feminazis.

You don't even seem to realize you're claiming 1) don't interfere because you're destroying Muslim culture because... it is Muslim culture to give women no choice 2) the whole debate started about Malala calling for women's rights 😆. Is she then indulging her White Man's guilt by trying to dictate what India should do within its borders?

Seriously, completely out this time. Wallow in your elitism and choices you would deny to others. I hope they get their freedoms despite women like you.

For those asking which schools allow bindi - My school (I studied in a catholic school) did. Infact almost all schools in my city did allow girls to wear bindi.

I myself used to wear a bindi to school. We were ofcourse prohibited from wearing jewelry, hair accessories, nail polish etc just like you all mentioned.

So yes, I would argue that if I'm allowed to wear a bindi, a girl who wants to wear a hijab should be allowed to do so as well. As long as she is not wearing a burqa (for obvious security reasons), I don't see why wearing a hijab (nothing but a head covering) is so controversial.

Like I just told ya, you’re talking about a Niqaab. That covers the face except the eye. Burqa covers the whole face. Hijab is just a scarf covering the hair.
