Part 27:

Next day went in blur, Priya reached home at evening to find neeraj again in the living room. He smirked seeing her which made her to think whether he is out of his mind. Now she is starting to get irritated with his presence.

Priya sat in dining table, waiting for her coffee which Sara is making.
Unknowingly she held the pendent of her chain(the chain which Ram gifted and made her to wear) which gave some sort of peace to her. This is the latest habit she had developed, holding the pendent close to her whenever she feels nervous or troubled or whenever she misses her husband, it was like drawing some strength from her husband's love to face the situation.

Priya even felt it would be better for her if she simply went to her home than tolerating neeraj. She decided to speak to Sara about this.
Sara: Priya here is your coffee.
Priya: thanks di, what is neeraj doing here still?
Sara: woh Priya, he and Maitri will stay here for a week as some renovation work is going on in their home.
Priya: Then I will better go to my home di.
Sara: what are you saying Priya? This is also your home.
Priya: I know and I didn't mean it in that way. It's just that
Sara: Don't think about him. You concentrate on us. You are staying with us after a long time. We will enjoy till your Mr. Kapoor return.
Priya nodded her head.
Sara: waise going to your home haan
Priya was embarassed but maintained a straight face.
Sara: I'm happy listening to that.
Priya: shut up.
Sara: Did you talk to your Mr. Kapoor?
Priya: Don't even talk about him.
Sara: so Priya you are accepting that he is yours
Priya looked at her sister in shock, she can't help but curse her treacherous cheeks which is starting to turn red but she decided control the damage.
Priya: why am I even talking to you? I will go
Seeing Priya was about to go, Sara asked sorry for teasing her.
Sara: did you talk to Ram? When will he return?
Same time neeraj who came to ask for a tea stood and started listening to Priya's reply.
Priya: How will I know? He never called me even once. Atleast he can send a text message right? No, to top it he never answered my call. I don't know what is wrong with him. But Vikrant did texted in group something like it will take some more days. So don't know when they are going to return.
Priya was talking only about that day but neeraj understood that Ram never called from day one.
Sara: He might be busy.
Priya: even I'm busy. I don't care, He can do whatever he want. Who am I to say anything?
Priya left from there while Sara kept looking at her confused.
The only happy person was neeraj.

Till completing her dinner, It was awkward for Priya, as neeraj kept on acting like a lovesick puppy with maitri around her. Both neeraj and Maitri being happy in their married life only made her happy but it was little awkward for her when she got to witness some of her sisters private moments and she also know neeraj acted like that when she was in their vicinity. She felt really sorry for her small sister as she got to marry a creep like him. Priya saw her sister genuinely happy with the attention she got from her husband while he was trying to make her feel jealous. She felt disgusted looking at him.

It was around 9:30, when Ram video called her. They were speaking when Ram was called by someone from the other side. He ended the call abruptly saying he will call back soon.

It was around 12:30 in night, when her phone started ringing.
She answered the call without opening her eyes knowing very well it was her husband.
Priya: Finally you remembered, you have a wife.
Ram: biwi
Priya: kya biwi, you never spoke to me today. You never texted me and all my calls went unanswered.
Ram: Atleast give me a chance to answer.
Priya: what answer do you have?
Ram: before that first you tell me, what do you think you are doing?
Priya: kya?
Ram: why are sleeping in balcony in this cold that to sitting in a chair?
Priya: I was waiting for your call. Don't know how. Wait how do you know I'm sleeping in balcony.
Priya sat straight and looked around.
Ram: look down
Priya was on her feet the next second, straightening her shawl.Priya looked down from the balcony to see him waving at her with a grin on his handsome face. She can't believe that he is here for real. She turned and ran out in a lightening speed to her husband.

Priya ran towards Ram and launched herself on him wrapping her arms around his neck making him stumble back a bit with the force she hugged him. He smiled and swirled her holding her waist which made her to laugh in merry. After swirling her, he placed on her feets and side hugged her after pecking her forehead.
As if in cue, it started drizzling making Priya ran into a shade while Ram stood there looking at the sky with both his hands stretched out. She stood adoring him for few moments as his smile made her heart beat so fast before dragging him with her to the shade. she made him sit in a bench under the shade. She took her shawl and started wiping his hair which was little wet due to the drizzling while he hugged her waist. She kissed the top of his head which made him to bury his face deep into her stomach making her hug him tightly. They both were lost in their own little world as they missed each other like crazy. They both realised how much they become dependent on each other in this small separation. They came to their senses hearing a dog barking near by. Both looked at each other with grin in their face as they didn't feel embarassed. He dragged her and made her sit beside him. He linked his arm with her right arm and placed his head on her shoulder which made her to smile.

Both were busy in their own world that they never noticed a pair of angry eyes. Neeraj who came out of his room to fetch some water, noticed Priya fumbling to open the main door nervously with a broad smile in her face, which confused him, so he decided to follow her and he was never prepared or ever will be prepared to see what followed. The Priya he know was never this happy. Even when they were in love, he never once saw her smiling this way but now never once the smile in her face left after she saw Ram. She was a person who never held his hand at public place but now she looked genuinely unaware of her surroundings. Did she really forgot that she is in the middle of a road hugging a man? Did she really moved on? Does they really share any relationship? Wasn't their marriage a compromise? He came out of his thoughts with the sound of car door clicking. He turned to see Ram ushering Priya inside the car and drove away. He was baffled at the turn of events. He decided to go upstairs.

Meanwhile Ram took Priya to the beach. They both strolled along the beach for sometime with their entwined hands in the cool breezy night. They both sat down on the sand after sometime. Ram side hugged her while she happily rested her head on his chest.
Priya: you never said anything about returning? You were talking about extending the trip? Did everything went fine?
Ram: woh Priya I have to return in few hours. I came to see you.
Priya sat straight listening to him
Priya: you have to return?
Ram: Knowing you are sad here, I can't stay there peacefully. So came to see you. I can sense your restlessness. What happened Priya?
Priya: I'm sorry, I'm disturbing you. You shouldn't strain this much for me Ram. I'm really sorry. I just keep on disturbing You. I'm so sorry.
Ram: what are you blabbering? Are you stupid? Ofcourse I want to see you and I was missing you like hell and for travelling it's just few hours flight.It's not a big deal, but you Mrs. Kapoor you are a big deal. Spending some time with you is a big deal. I would have come even if I got 15 mins lone time with you but here I'm getting to spend almost night. I will not miss this for anything. So stop your nonsense.
Priya hugged him smiling,
Priya: Thank you so much for coming. It was getting difficult to stay without seeing you. I never know how I lived all these years without you. Love you my dear pati.
Ram smiled listening to her say pati for the first time. He kissed her head.
Priya: Did vikrant came with you?
Ram: No one knows I'm here. It was easy to sneak out as we both are staying in separate rooms. I have to get back before morning 8.
Priya looked at him shocked
Priya: At what time is your flight? It's already 3 am Ram.
Ram: Don't worry. I came in chopper.
Priya: chopper?
Ram: haan kyun
Priya: why do I keep forgetting that my husband is The Ram Kapoor.
Ram: I'm just Ram for you. I will go whenever you allow me.
Priya: then I will never allow you to go.
Ram: even I don't want to go but what to do.
Priya: mujhe aapke bina acche nahi lagte hain.
Ram: aur meri saath
Priya: apke saath tho bade achhe lagte hain.
Ram: achha ji
Ram hugged her tightly. While Priya to hugged him happily.
Ram: I got a gift for you
Priya: gift? What was the need for it?
Ram: I'm gifting my wife. Is it a problem?
Priya: no but
Ram: just close your eyes and stretch out your palm.
Priya did like he asked her to while placed the gift in her hand.
Priya then opened her eyes to see a small red velvet potli bag in her hand. She opened the strings of the potli bag to find a pair of sleek silver anklets. It was so simple and classy. She looked at him questioningly.
Ram: I have always wanted to buy you a pair of anklet but saw the one like I wanted. When I accidentally saw this in banglore, I know this is what I was searching for you.
Priya: this is beautiful Ram but I have never wore anklet.
Ram: so what now you can start wearing. This will look great on you. But if you don't feel comfortable,then it's fine.
Priya: No I want to try it.
Priya was going to wear when Ram took the anklet from her hand. She looked at him confused while he took her feet and placed it on his lap. She tried to refuse but he asked her to be silent. He lovingly hooked the anklet in her feet and placed a soft kiss on both her feet making her blush.
Ram: do you like it?
Priya: I love it Ram.

He smiled at her while she hugged him. On seeing the time,
Ram: shall we go, it's going to be 5.10
Priya: so soon
Ram: otherwise Everyone will wake up, I have to be there before vik can file a missing person complaint.
Priya laughed at him.
Ram: Hello madam, I'm don't feel shy to announce that I came to see my wife because I missed her so much. I will tolerate their teasings but it is you who will be so worked up thinking about them and I thought you were not comfortable with everyone gawking at us.
Priya: okey okey I understand you were doing everything for me. I'm lucky to have a husband like you.
Ram: I'm the one lucky to have you.
Both smiled looking at eachother. Ram placed a kiss in her hair.
Priya: chalo,. Let's go.
Both went towards their car. Ram started driving while Priya kept her head on his shoulder before she can realise she went into a deep slumber.

When they reached home, Ram tried to wake her up, then decided against as he didn't want to disturb her peacefull sleep.So he carried priya to her room. He was glad that no one from Priya's family were around when he took her to the room. He gently placed her on the bed was about to move but couldn't as she had tightly fisted his shirt. He slowly removed his shirt from her hands and covered her with duvet. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead and whispered a love you.

Ram took Priya's phone to text twinkle to inform about her leave as he wanted her to take rest the next day. He opened her phone that's when he saw her wallpaper which had both of them drowning in eachother's eyes rather than looking at the cam. He smiled looking at her wallpaper. Day by day his love for her is just kept on increasing. He placed a chaste kiss on her lips which brought a smile in her face even in sleep. He texted twinkle and placed the phone on bedside table turning off the alarm. He know she needs rest, she looked tired. The last time he saw her in a video call, her eyes looked so dull and her face had a fake smile. He can't stay there after seeing her state which screamed her restlessness so he just planned this trip in last minute without a second thought. Now, she looked peacefull, there is a smile lingering in her lips even in sleep which only made him proud of his decision. He placed a soft kiss on her both tired eyes before moving out.

Ram stood at the entrance of her room and looked at her one more time seeing her sleeping with a smile on her face, a smile automatically appeared on his face. His Priya... He smiled and ruffled his hair before moving out.

Again unknown to him, neeraj witnessed Ram carrying a sleeping Priya in his arms as he was not able to sleep after what he witnessed. Now seeing this is making him more agitated and angry. The smile and tender look Ram had screamed his love for her.
Neeraj was still in dilemma as he can't understand what was happening. Why did Ram went without staying?
Did he really came just to see her?
Did Priya really moved on with Ram? Didn't she still has some feelings for him?He won't be in peace till he gets the answer to his all the questions.
