Off the topic
What was even the point in StarPlus replacing Aapkhe with Chikoo…Aapkhe recorded the same 0.6/0.7 which is what Chikoo is recording…same Trps…in fact all the three shows that Star replaced, be it Saak with Zindagi, MHRV with Vidrohi or Aapkhe with Chikoo proved to be a disaster coz all the three shows turned out to be Diwali ki phuskhi bomb…never took off from the word go…they are bringing the same numbers that the shows they replaced brought at their worst phase…
MHRV was recording highest rating out of the early evening slots of StarPlus and Vidrohi is recording the lowest and Zindagi and Chikoo are bringing the same numbers of Saak & Aapkhe respectively…results all the three slots have been served in platter to Colors…
Instead of replacing, had the channel concentrated on improving the content and production value of Saak MHRV and Aapkhe then probably these shows would have brought more ratings than the ones who replaced it…is StarPlus interesting in improving it’s early evening slots?????
I feel StarPlus doesn’t care much about it’s early evening slots as long as it’s Prime Time is bringing numbers and tops the Trp charts because that will ensure its number one position…In fact Star is more invested in Star Bharat early evening slots than StarPlus..Star Bharat early evening shows do better that StarPlus early evening slots and even their production value is better than StarPlus early evening shows …this is their strategy…focus on prime time for StarPlus and early evening for Star Bharat to keep the stakes of both the channel high & competitive.
All that StarPlus expects from it’s early evening shows is 1/1.1, which also means their early evening shows will always be low budget getting least to negligible attention/promotion from the channel…
E x a c t l y! It like starplus doesn’t even care to analyze whats the core problem. Instead of focusing on promotions & other factors, it goes around in a vicious circle: replace a show with a new one which will bring the same trp or less (in our case way way less). I’ve heard the rival channel heavily promotes all of their projects irrespective of their time slots. Why cant Starplus copy its tactics, its clearly working!
Or if the channel is so disinterested, let a show run its course for a year (with the range of trp it can fetch in the doomed slots). Theres no need to replace it with another show with the same trp prospect.
Omg Kavita im so slow! I just figured out that Chiku means sapodilla. Now I understood ur tweets lol

Sandip was not interested in continuing with MHRV was because StarPlus was clearly not interested in investing in the slot…the channel’s expectations with the early evening shows is simple…give us 1/1+ with the given budget…they are clearly neither interested in promoting nor increasing the production value of the shows in early evening slots…one look at Vidrohi, no one will say it’s a historical…so poorly made…
Zindagi, Chikoo Vidrohi, all the three shows lacked luster…if you bring such low budget shows at a dead slot with almost no promotion…how will it work…
But the channel isn’t interested, coz producer are lining up to StarPlus with their shows and all that channel is doing is experimenting with it’s early evening slots with low budget shows…if it works fine, else replace it with another show…
If actors get stuck with StarPlus early evening slots, it will do them no good…early evening shows of StarPlus is just a stepping stone then they need to move on to better slots or at least better channels who promote them…
Honestly speaking it’s StarPlus and Sandip’s loss if they didn’t come up with MHRV season 2 with Sai and Shivi…

@Bold So long as the Prime Time works and ensures it’s top position the channel will continue with its step motherly treatment of it’s early evening shows…it’s better to do early evening shows in colors than in StarPlus if actors aim for visibility and growth…
