https://bengali.abplive.com/entertainment/lata-mangeshkar-death-from-samadipta-mukherjee-to-arunita-kanjilal-got-blessings-in-this-way-865452

Translation of the part relating to Arunita:

Title: Lata Mangeshkar Death: From Samadipta to Arunita, the two daughters of Bengal never thought they get Lata's blessings in this way.

From non-film to film songs - this Bengal was like her (Lataji) second home .

That is why Bengalis get extra love from the "Sur Sadhak" - like Arunita Kanjilal, of Indian Idol fame.

Lata was so fascinated by the songs of this artist from Bangaon that she signed her own picture and sent it to the Bengal girl.

Arunita is now in Delhi.

Her mother Sarbani Kanjilal said Lata told her daughter, "I like/love your singing, I can find myself."

She signed and sent two pictures.

As Pawandeep drives off to drop off the newlyweds to their destination, he calls out, "Jyotida, Arunita ko le ke aana.". And the Jyotiparkash Bagwari (PD's friend, the owner of the resort in Kedarnath, the one whose BMW we see every time) then takes Arunita, Darshini and Choklate Pi along.

Sawai has done a great job, as expected. He has an incredibly high vocal range. I just wish HR didn't make his voice sound as metallic as he does - his natural voice is so much better.

Overall I felt the composition is quite nice, especially the Flute and Sarangi portions, but :

- I would have loved to have the Sarangi more prominent during the entire song, as opposed to suddenly becoming audible at key moments - right now there is a mismatch between the visuals of the Sarangi playing continuously but being audible only at key moments

- the constant rhythm is that HR has used is very disturbing. I don't know what has been used, but a proper tabla or dholak would have sounded much better, I feel. And it needed to be a little bit in the background. In Tujhe Dekha Toh Lagaa the tabla was continuously visible but less audible, and here the rhythm that he has created is too overpowering.

I would rate this one also 6 or 7 out of 10, just as I did for Dekha Tujhe Toh Lagaa.

Full performance of Pawandeep on the occassion of his sister's wedding. 07-Feb-2022. Vocals with guitar, followed by playing Tabla while a friend of his (Rahul Dayal) sings. Eventually the concert was cut short by a power cut

Thanks for detailed review. I used to mostly watch all HR releases atleast once because of idols before but now I kind of lost interest and stopped watching. Keep writing reviews incase if there is something interesting I can choose to watch.

Please do watch, in any case. For 3 reasons:

1. Your opinion might differ

2. The song may grow on you. A second and third hearing might change your view

3. These folks can do with our support

If you compare recent releases, I think Salim - Sulaiman's music is better than HR's but their songs are not getting much lesser views.
