I think schools should have common uniforms, especially government schools should be free of religion.

Students should concentrate on education.

But India needed a same laws for everyone if they so wanted to be secular. Special laws for one community (it could be any) is not secularism.

Forget everything else, I can tell from personal experience how scared we used to be regarding our safety in Mumbai. Bus-train mein bomb phat rahe hai, public places mein mat jaao. And the fear after 26/11 can't even be put in words. It wasn't just a trauma of 3 days for us, but for such a long time after that, we used to avoid going to public places, not knowing what would happen.

India has always been a country which believed in appeasing and haath jodho saamne wale ke saamne, voh izzat rakhe ya nahi...apna haq bhi maangne mein darna.

Extremists kept aside from all ends, the more I read about the history of this country dating back centuries, the more I shiver in shock.

Making it very clear I consider Modi and the BJP only a step up from the likes of the Taliban.

Just that they came into power thanks to the failures and corruption of the Congress.

Nor do I agree bloodshed was the way to independence. Funny how people who advocate it are the ones who have never lost anyone to it. And Sardar Patel? He sympathized with the Nazis. The Japs would've been even worse masters than the Brits!

I lived through Godhra kaand and Akshardham temple terrorist attack.

Ahmedabad (20 mins away) would have curfews 200 days out of 350. Inside City areas will forever have communal tension. Not a single curfew for 13 years of Modi as CM.

Yeh Hardik Patel wala public violent protest happened after Modi left. And who did the dear Hardik Patel joined, no prize for guessing, Congress.

I have come to realize that half the people giving their opinions online have no idea about ground realities.
People with houses and all basic means don’t care but someone who had to walk kilometers to get water, will be elated to get Tap water at home. Toilet and gas connection. Pakka makaan. These people go and vote for BJP and rudali starts online. Democracy ki death and blah blah blah. 😆

That is gross level of equivalence. Just to sooth your heart. That is fear mongering.

Sardar patel may not be perfect. But he United India. He was not a softy. He could take hard decisions.

By that comparison, Gandhi ji is not perfect either. Gandhi ji sent Indian soldiers to world war 2. Was that not losing lives? India wasn’t even at war. We lost lives fighting for Britishers.
