Chalo, at least those romance novels got you out of a real soup.😆😆 For better or worse, I've never read a proper romance novel though, except Fifty Shades (if that counts... hah).... and that was after Anderson Cooper promoted it shamelessly on CNN prime time. I thought it was a non-fiction book on something interesting and PROUDLY asked this guy friend who was also a neighbor at the time, if I could borrow it for a couple days. The topic came up in a conversation cuz *I* proudly brought it up, to look like I'm on top of current affairs. He said, yeah, sure, as soon as I'm done, and as promised he dropped it home. I started reading and finished the whole thing but pretended that he doesn't exist for a while .... till it wasn't such a fresh topic anymore.

LMAO. Your neighbour was probably thinking this lass is not only bonnie but kinky too. 🤣🤣 I hated 50 Shades of Grey. Such a juvenile and poorly written book. The books that I read is far more superior with darker themes. Omg you’ll never be able to put them down.

I'm sure he figured I was aghast. I never brought it up again, not even to return the book to him and he never asked either, such a gentleman. end of story. 😉

No hating on your romance novels of course, I'd never compare them with trash like 50 shades. If you have book recs, I'm all ears, actually. top five should do, cuz a long list will throw me into a tizzy and something tells me you need that disclaimer.😆

When people say they like the British accent, what they really mean is they like the standard British accent known as Received Pronunciation, like you hear in Harry Potter, James Bond etc, otherwise there are several British accents. When a friend of mine moved to America, they thought he was an Aussie. 😆

If it's anything like this, I am glad I haven't bumped into one cuz I wouldn't know what to say to them.🤣 Not everyone's an expert bluffer like FF. 😏

Posh English accent of Londoners, I think it's from around Chelsea .... whatever that is, I dig that. ❤️

Brits do sound similar to aussies to me though.... i can't really place it until they say something like Tim or Fish. 😆
