Chapter 32

"...and the princess kicked the prince out of her castle and lived happily ever after with her Papa. The end." Abhi said closing the book. "You see, baby? All Princesses always live with their Papa only." Abhi placed a kiss on Aaira's head.

"Papa, that's not the stowey." Aaira looked at him suspiciously. "Jaan ne diffelent stowey bathai thi."

"Your Mumma doesn't know how to read, na? This is the real story. Okay now close your eyes and sleep warna Mumma hum dono pe gussa karegi." Abhi said patting Aaira. Before long, Aaira fell asleep and Abhi picked her up and took her to her room and went back to his room. He waited for Akshu to come from downstairs and after 10 minutes she finally did.

"Aaira itni jaldi so gayi?" Akshu asked in surprise.

"Haan she was really tired." Poocho mat kaise so gayi. "Waise, Jaan?"

"Mmmm...." Akshu tried to get ready for bed and stood in front of the mirror brushing her hair. Abhi went behind her and wrapped his arms around her.

"Are you ready to kiss all my boo-boos away?" He whispered to her.

Akshu made a disgusted face. "Abhi, chi! Tum romance karna bhool gaye ho!"

Abhi turned her around. "Acha? Toh tum sikha doh? Banda apke haathon mein hain. Jo karna hai karo."

Akshu smiled. "Dekho lo! Don't tell me that I didn't warn you." She put her arms around his neck. "You will be sorry."

"Oye!

"Oye!" Akshu laughed. "Chalo phir. Aaj main tumhe sikati hoon ke romance kya hota hai."

As Akshu laid in bed, her head on Abhi's chest with Abhi's one arm wrapped around her and the other stroking her hair, both them enjoying the silence. Akshu suddenly spoke up.

"Abhi?"

"Jaan." Abhi kissed the top of her head.

"Main kuch maangu tumse?"

"Yeh bhi poochne ki baat hai?"

"Swear on me, you will say yes."

Abhi sat up. "Jaan, kya hua? Maine kabhi na kaha hai kya? Aur tumhe pata hai I'll never swear on you or Aaira!"

Akshu sat up as well. "Abhi, please kasam kao. Please."

"Akshu, just tell me first."

Akshu took a deep breath. "Aaru is coming with Vinay...wait let me finish. Please Abhi, it's been 4 years. Tum kaho toh she will just come here and you can be here too. Phir kuch nahi hoga na? Please Abhi." Akshu cried.

"Akshu, you know the answer."

"Abhi, please. Main tum se kabhi kuch nahi maangti. Tumne kaha mat milo, mat baat karo toh maine nahi ki. Main apni behn ki shaadi pe bhi nahi gayi. I always listen to you. So please iss baar meri baat sun lo." Akshu sobbed.

"Acha pehle stop crying." Abhi wiped her tears away. "Fine. Magar woh yahan aayegi and woh bhi jab main yahan hoon tab aur Aaira..."

"Ab mat kaho Aaira se nahi mil sakti. Please Abhi."

"Fine. Magar only if I'm here."

"Done!" Akshu happily kissed him.

"Okay now can you kiss all my boo-boos?" Abhi grinned at her.

"Now we go in cuckles like this, Tayi-dadi!" Aaira instructed Mahima.

"Aarey. Chalo phir."

Manjiri watched them from the kitchen and laughed. Aaira was teaching Mahima how to dance like a Princess. Aaira was dressed in one of her many Princess dresses with a big tutu skirt, with her long hair half up being held with a big bow and a tiara adorning her head. Sach mein, princess e toh hai. Manjiri silently said a prayer for her grand-daughter.

"Aaira, baby. Bas. I'm tired now. Let me go drink some water. Nishta Bua se kaho to dance with you." Mahima kissed Aaira's cheek and went to the kitchen.

Aaira continued to dance around in circles until she ran into someone she never met before. Aaira looked up at her. The lady got down on her knee to Aaira's level and smiled at her.

"Such a pretty princess you are! You must be Aaira!"

Aaira didn't recognize her and felt shy. She looked around and saw a familiar face coming in. "Kailav Mamu!" She ran to him and Kairav picked her up.

"Hi Aaira baby! How are you, meri jaan?" He kissed her.

"Mamu? Who is this?" Aaira whispered in his ear pointing to the stranger lady.

"Let's go ask her." Kairav walked up to the lady and asked. "Can you please tell Princess Aaira who you are?"

"Aaru?!?!" Kairav and the lady looked behind them to see Akshu coming down the stairs. "Aaru!!" Akshu ran to her sister and hugged her crying. "Aaru! I missed you so much! I'm so happy you are here!"

Aarohi hugged her back crying as well. "You don't know how much I missed you!"

"Mamu, Jaan kyun lo lahi hai?" Aaira whispered to Kairav.

"Excuse me, Aaira ki Jaan. Aaira wants to know why you are crying." Kairav said loudly as the two sisters broke their hug. Akshu smiled and took Aaira from Kairav's arms.

"Baby, aap ko pata yeh kaun hai?" Aaira shook her head. "Yeh aapki Aaru Masi hai. Mumma ki choti behn. Aap Aaru Masi ko hello bolo."

"Hi Aaira! I been dying to meet you. Can I please get a hug from you?" Aarohi said opening her arms for a hug. Aaira became shy and hid her face in Akshu's neck.

"Wait karo. Yeh jitni abhi sharma rahi hai na baad mein utni e tumhe tang karegi!" Akshu laughed. "Aaja. Let's sit, na?"

Just then Manjiri and Mahima came to greet Aarohi and Kairav. Aaira ran to Manjiri and whispered loudly. "Dadi, yeh Jaan ki choti wali sissy hai!"

"Acha? Mujhe toh pata e nahi tha." Manjiri laughed.

"Akshu! Tumhari beti tumhe Jaan kehti hai! That's so cute!" Aarohi exclaimed.

"Apney Papa ki beti hai na?" Akshu rolled her eyes. "Kitni baar kaha Mumma kaho but nope. Waise where's Vinay? Mujhe nahi milaogi?"

"He has a meeting but will come later."

"Acha tum dono behne baatein karo. I have to leave for the hospital." Mahima said getting up.

The two sisters went to the garden to talk and watched Kairav as always falling victim to Aaira and turning into a horse for her. They were laughing away watching their brother with Aaira when Abhi came.

"Hello, Abhimanyu." Aarohi greeted him.

Abhi ignored her and turned to Akshu. "Akshu maine kaha tha na you can only meet your sister if I'm here?" He said to her angrily. With that, he picked Aaira up and went inside.

Akshu stood there not knowing what to do.

This story is never ending I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️
