Lets grow over ships guys..you are beri lovely and jolly people I know, but haqqeqat yehi tha ki yehi koi love story nahi thi jahaa humare ships chal jaye..haan majority of us loves 'Abhika' including me, but it is actually a great fact that it is and it was story of Deepika's life her struggle, her rise, her dedication, hardwork in career...also it was story of her fall, her weakness, her fault her immaturity and insult in the same workspace...which also amalgamate the rise and fall of many other charachters like Wasim,Sia, Piroz, & Abhay, and others ViDiti both in workspace and personal relationships ....So they didn't cheat us they didn't went out of medical issues which they promised us, infact the personal ups and down was beatifully intertwined with patients cases and taught us good things......
Yes it is true that sometimes they jumbled it ups with many ships, but their charachter is not just left alone ..so still the story is not over the journey of Deepika is not over..lets see where the story goes and ends...
Though 'Abhika' hua nahi, but 'Abhika' sidelined nahi hai...they are sparking as friends who guides each other and makes smile each other and it matters most..
how was the episode? any good?

loved this! Very well said, its a journey.
we can debate characterisation, execution or story but one theme may be the right of women to make mistakes too... and their right to dignity despite their defects & mistakes.
I agree. I don't have a problem with the theme, but the execution bothered me. Way too much time went into the "fall" part of the story graph, and I could've done without the apparent justifying of "first love, only love/true love" part. Other than Vipika stans, most of us were aware that Vikrant is and was a mistake. I don't mind Deepika being confused, but they also went a little too much back and forth with her characterization. The only character that I felt had a reasonable growth, decline, and rise phase was Abhay, and I'm sad to see him sidelined so much. I also wish we had a stronger theme of the "sapna samajhte ho aap" part. However, I do acknowledge that they tried something new by showing the FL being vulnerable and making mistakes, and this was always Deepika's story from the beginning.
The makers messed up the execution of a story that was great to start with. It did not live up to any expectations and all of us did have a lot of expectations! Deepika’s character was a huge problem, not because of the confusion or vulnerability, but because of the hypocrisy and the inability to acknowledge any of her mistakes. Everybody was to blame for what she was going through except herself. That, I found difficult to accept in a character who could have been a blazing role model for a lot of young ambitious working women who refuse to compromise on ethics. Her character graph was inconsistent and bordering on the pathetic. Secondly, the show could have focused on so many substantive themes - gender discrimination at work, safe work spaces for women, the conflict between work and home responsibilities, the commercialization of medical practice and hospitals, important role of medical research and clinical trials, could have explored Abhay’s relationship with his father and learning from each other, could have brought Deepika back in touch with her sister in law and brother, the lives of the residents and some of the nurses. Instead, the entire focus shifted to Vikrant and Deepika’s very ugly relationship and the moral connotations of an “extra marital relationship.” And perpetuating the myth of first love and that people cannot just get past it! How absolutely ridiculous the show ended up being! In the beginning, it was so exciting to see nuanced real people and their very real stories. Quickly derailed into this nonsensical love story!

You've put all my feelings and gripes into words. Deepika's entire ethical dilemma shouldn't revolve around Vikrant. With Aditi they also had a chance to explore the medical research/clinical trials angle, but no, they made it seem that it was all about her ego and jealousy instead.
