Actually her character is confusing. Initially she was this manipulative lady who treated her sister like a house help and was super proud of her degrees and hospital stature. She also wanted Akshara as the bahu whom she could control and manipulate easily. But now i think her character has undergone a change.

She was genuinely concerned about Abhimanyu, but still her agenda of getting Akshara in the house might be the same. So we never know😳
