It's so evident he wished SaiRat didn't become a hit jodi. Not only them but makers were like the wrong jodi sailed to the audience. Only in this version of KD the promos were built around ViRakhi's immortal epic star-crossed lovers love saga. That's how it was presented & Sai was totally sidelined. They looked like the main leads in promos. They were highlighted & imposed on audience right from the beginning before show went on-air and then the Virakhi ship through episodes.
That guy sits & stands close & next to every freaking person on the set male or female or even other show's cast, on set spotted with em goofing around but never by his on-screen partner. And there those freaks on twitter make VMS & gloss over their non-existent delusional "Neil 100ft. away Sha" ship or bond whatever it is 🤣
It was not the case totally..
I watched all the early promos and the episodes... From the beginning it was only SaiRat.. Ayesha's character easily hit it off which no one could imagined.. She used to take lots of retakes as she was comparatively new than others..So they didn't think she will get the celibrety status..its sheer jealousy and insecurities by the real couple.. They wanted to shift that attention from Ayesha hence such antics.. Also it was increasing Ghum hashtags which was benefiting the ph..
Both self proclaimed leads are close to ph.. Priya and Vanker is friends with Aish ..now they are both close to the director.. Hence enjoyed maximum luxury on set..
I don't understand which actor feels embarrassed about onscreen jodi or doesn't even sit next to his colleague 😕..Let alone Sharing photos one doesn't even reply to appreciation posts and takes one whole day... 😲eitger they are not in good terms or some other issues only best known to them 😕😲

I disagree on the promos part. Before the show went on-air it did seem the story was more about ViRakhi's love saga. As I didn't know it's remake of KD.

Promo was mostly focused on Neil and his love, responsibility... It was more like his turmoil between love and the farz.. But one could easily tell the one whom Virat is marrying will be end game.. It was a very typical Hindi serial.. Rekha was just the face for gimmick as its her song.. You see promos are made to draw attention towards the story.. Audience would fell for it thinking oh what happened between them that they fell apart and the hero had to marry an young teen.. And his lady love has sidoor.. You have to create interest in audience mind.. It's all business and selling emotions..
For example bajirao mastani title suggests something but bansali played it smart by highlighting kashi bai's pain.. Audience didn't fell for bajirao mastani's epic love story but felt the pain of Kashi bai.. Ranbir's chemistry with Pryianka received more accolades than with depeeka...Bajirao asked about both Kashi and Mastani in his death bed.. You see director's always shows what audience wants to see..
Kd had deeper virakhi Story.. Ronno immediately fell for RK unlike Virat.. RK was more intimidating than this pakhi.. So you see thats the difference.. Vanker played it smart.. He kept it subtle to see audience reaction and then boom TRP audience loved SaiRat and Sai for that matter..
Off screen it was different story due to favoritism.. Both were quite insecured with Ayesha's sudden popularity at that time which none could except either.. She was only close to sheetal on set...They wouldn't even sit next to each other makes me wonder..
Your doubts will be cleared from your reply itself.. Because it's the reaction they wanted to get.. The right reaction..
