To be honest for Arunitha it's ok. She is just 19 so another 6 months won't really matter for her. Sayali frankly I am not expecting she will make it big anyway other than if Anumalik gives her big break as he follows only her on insta. Danish and PD are nearing their 30's or mid 20's so i would expect them to be very serious(careful) about options they choose otherwise it will be too late.
This is slightly off topic and controversial, but frankly I don't see them getting any meaningful work from anyone at this stage. They are all shaping up like past Idol winners. Popular, but without any significant breakthroughs.
A year and 2 months have passed since the idols were on show. In the meantime a Covid impacted Bollywood Music industry has chugged along, albeit, slowly and many new songs have been released under many leading music directors. None of the idols have found any space - and neither will they in the short run, in my opinion. If they get work, it will be from people they know well - and that list is limited. PD possibly has the best connections as he has been in the scene for the longest.
My sense is that they all need to build portfolios and connections. Even a chance guest at Superstar Singer 2 can be a rewarding presence. Then if they fill a need they will get a break one day. That has to count!
Make no mistake. All will sing Bollywood songs at some stage of their life. As time passes, the chances of those being filler songs in marginal films will keep increasing as desperation sets in and choosing becomes a luxury. That leads to a portfolio of x number of Bollywood songs which no one has ever heard of. Then when someone chances on the discography they consider the artist to be a failed one. The singing industry is full of such singers. The SRGMPA Jury panel contains perfect examples.
And age is no insurance. Everything is about living in the present. If a 19 year old does not make a breakthrough in year or two then it is a forgotten 21 year old. So whatever monetary insurance is available through shows/private recordings/Reality Tv etc are not to be ignored / frowned upon. There is no guarantee that the carpet will be rolled out any time soon for any one. They may have individual talent but the existing talent pool is more than adequate to meet the need. Many established singers are without work. If Palak, Harshdeep, Md, Irfan etc have to promote themselves via HR melodies you can well imagine the struggle! There is Covid Recession in the entertainment market and new people getting valuable work is not going to happen. Established singers are connected and are not resting on their laurels in these times. The only real entertainment is on TV. That is the right place to find work for unestablished idols. Thinking that hitting the street will get Bollywood work may not be realistic in the current times.
