Ya I like Mayank too. Very sweet. Feel bad for him also that his character is so butchered. I don't want them to make him like Naksh. Hope Neil and Mayank both get proper story later. Even Vansh and Reem ki story was going nice too but they stopped that as well.

This is the issue with yeh rishta post akshara-naithik era. Back in that time rajan actually showed good side plot focus too for supporting characters. Unfortunately after kaira marriage that all went for a toss, with rajan shahi also resorting to the same itv trope of the entire screen time and story being around the main couple and supporting characters getting no parallel tracks of their own, but merely being spectators to the lead pair's story.

If they focus on side characters too then they don't have to divorce and remarry leads so many times. One another thing I did not kike during kairas time was no matter whose marriage it is these both will be getting married first and doing all customs and all focus will be on them. I did not watch first 2 generations fully but I too liked how characters were balanced during Akshara's time

During kairas time Kaira gave them TRPs so all focus was on Kaira and they sidelined all remaining characters.. Hope they don't do same with Abhira.. Still keep their charm by only one marriage and also develop side characters and show lots of family bonding like first generation. Then soul Wala love will also make sense 🤣🤣

I don’t think she will be a typical Birla.

Birla’s are extreme! One extreme is all about hospital! One extreme is all about emotions! I want her to be balanced so she can actually handle Goenka’s and make Kairav stronger! Who also knows how to put people in place!

I posted his love story idea in the forum one or two weeks back!

Yeah, major reason that they have to show innumerable separation tracks for lead pair is because they exhaust the story potential of the lead pair by having to churn out numerous tracks that are solely focused on just those two characters to fill 99% of the screen time 5 days a week, when if they actually bothered writing for multiple characters where even supporting characters were given side plots for them to occupy at least 30-40% of the screen time then it would take a huge amount of burden from writers to have try and write a new story so frequently for just 1 couple to avoid that couple running out of a story eventually or losing audience's interest.

Itv seems like will never learn to utilise it's supporting characters in order to extend the story of a show. Instead of filling a show with lots of actors who don't have much screen presence or acting abilities to be able to carry their own story arc in a show, they should hire strong supporting actors too, just like american tv shows do, who can also entertain and capture the interest of the audience, but for that itv writers also need to be able to write interesting characters too.
