Thank you so much for this NM - this really remined me of why despite his character being butchered, it still had the most connect. Will really miss ADI - and GM was the only one who could make it the way it was for 300 episodes - that was all him, no matter what people like to say otherwise.

I don’t watch any serials but even to me this seemed extraordinary and unusual. Really wishing both gm and st all the best in their future and current projects

Loved all you mentioned, but more so, I loved his but about his expressions. The entire paragraph where the IV asked him about his "confusing" expressions to Malini and how that "misled" people to think that Adi is reacting, when we got a completely different reaction in the next scene. The way he said - how was my reaction "misleading". 🤣 They pushed people to see the next episode and find out mire, so my expressions helped to create that sense of suspense and unpredictability, which pushed viewers to check out the next episode - so for everyone who were berating GM and calling him "unprofessional" for giving something of his own to the scene when it was not needed - this was a huge chaanta on their faces😆.

Vaaki his praising ST and Rahul, making sure that everyone understood that it was all mutual and dismissing the rumours that he only gave "10 days" to the show - he dismissed everything. Also him saying that he did his best on camera, but what feat used after that is not in his control, shows just how badly the editors and the showmaker "cough" Sachintino "cough" is very visible when we see the BTS videos - the amount of SD they cut in the final edit shows just how different the actual shit was from the final episode.

Baaki GM being himself was both candid and diplomatic - showing just how wonderful he is both in his craft and as a human being as well - no wonder we fell in love with AKT and GM playing AKT - no matter what the makers tried to do in the last 2 months. He will continue to remain like that in our hearts till the end of time - because aise characters bahut kam milte hai ITV main, and Adi will always remain special for that.🤗👏

Well it was a very good interview with the right amount of candidness & even some amount of damage control for the show😆.

I liked that he kept whatever was the cause of his departure a secret because as he said it is between him & Gul & the issue was sorted benefitting both the show as well as him. He didn't take out the dirty laundry to the press😆.

I especially loved that he completely clarified that the 10 days thing was bs. He was not happy with the trajectory of Adi & the show, notified about quitting to the team, worked his notice period sincerely & separated from the show with grace & dignity👏.

Special mention for highlighting the benefits of working with the PH. Usually people give a generic statement about being honoured working for the team but he went into specifics about how well he was treated in the work environment. Yeh quitting drama ke baad log saari acchi baatein bhul jaate hai of working with the team but he didn't.

GM's special fondness for ST & genuine appreciation of her talent & respect as a co-star was ❤️. Him giving special mention to the director- Rahul Tiwari who worked with him & ST to develop the organic evolution of Adi-Imlie was well deserved. Just like us even he has special love for the 200 epis which had organic content. Uske baad toh show draggy & cringey zone main hi chala gaya. Woh 1st 200 epis wala flavour phir kabhi wapas nahi aa paya. I loved that he didn't mention Atif at all- what a cut direct😎.

But that has always been quintessential GM and Adi right Lodestar - his penchant to say things candidly while being diplomatic and yet leaving out stuff that he was not comfortable with at the end.

The fact that usne ST aur Rahul ke quaseede padhye and literally said so much - giving these two all the credit, just shows you how much these 2 have impacted his journey with that show. Hiw he credited Rahul (not Atif) for the show being organic and beautiful till they reached Hyderabad, shows how much he understood the pulse of the viewers who shared that viewpoint.

Also, even here, he couldn't help but taunt ST by saying she has become "dheet" - so much so that whenever he used to shout at her, while she would get upset, but would not allow it to affect her for more than 5 mins😆. I feel this bond they have created over this year will sustain - my hopes and prayers will really be with them to hold on to this friendship always.

Baaki GM is the ultimate professional who has no qualms of working with any medium - like he said, once he signs up for anything - be it a movie (his experience with his first Hindi film) or a TV show (that till the end he still put in the hours to prepare for his scene the night before, shows even now) - he makes sure to give his best and give it his 💯. So no matter what, this quality of his will take him only higher - I have no doubts about that - despite what his naysayers say about him (jinko bhi usne maan diya by calling them "kaala teeka" for his career😆)
