He must have even called Bala, after knowing that they all were hell worried for him after finding his wallet & hoodie, during that landslide

Also itne din ke baad he called her, he might have needed to speak to her, even if he wants to sort things in his head, to know where he stands now, now that he is more calm & composed, will help him in deciding for himself

Also he clearly mentioned ki last time mil lena chahiye tha, so he was apologetic of not meeting her 1 last time when she wanted to
