I honestly don’t know where to start to tell you how much I adore this imperfect man called Dr. Abhimanyu Birla. He had issues- serious anger issues. He is impulsive. He is flawed, and he makes mistakes. And I absolutely adore this immature and faulty human being. Why?
Because when you love someone, it's because of what they are, including their flaws and imperfections, just like Abhimanyu loves Akshara. He loves her, no questions asked, how she is, and all the baggage she brings along. Love does not come with conditions; it just accepts
The reason for this acceptance is that you fall in love with the person for what they are now not what they could be. There are no guarantees for the future. When you are together you grow with each other. Become better for each other and yourself. Love means growing together, flaws and all.
No one is perfect, and that is the beauty of being human. God would have made us perfect if we needed to be perfect. Instead, we are flawed, and that is our beauty. So all the people out there who have issues with Abhimanyu’s anger, flaws, and actions need to understand that he is not perfect, just human. And fictional character or not, if you can not give someone the margin to be human, you need to work on yourself first.
The last two episodes have been an AbhiRa fest, and as the title says, I want to appreciate how gentle this man is with Akshara even though he is dealing with betrayal, pain, and heartbreak all because of her. So I am going to break down Dr. Biwi Bhakt in past two episodes.
The episode starts, and he pulls her closer just to wipe her tear away when his tears are flowing freely because of her lies and betrayal. He is tired, in fact, exhausted, of fighting the same fight with the woman he loves. He declares his love and she denies her love. Now he has the proof that she demanded from him when she rejected him in front of his family. He was there to confront her yet no matter how he was in pain because of her, he could not bear her tears.
As many of us have said it at one point, Abhimanyu have some self respect and don’t beg Akshara for love again. I want to say that when a man is dying, he fights till his last breath to live and that is what Abhimanyu is doing. Akshara is his life and he will fight for her till his last breath.
This was a man who had gone to demand answers. And demand he did. Those Kyuns were asked with love, anger, frustration, plead and defeat. Harshad emoted every emotion so well. This man wins my already won heart everyday. When they looked into the mirror he touched his head to hers with full haq. I love the level of intimacy they have. Abhimanyu Akshara par haq jataata hai kyunki usne apne saare haq Akshara ko de diye hain.
When she lowered her eyes again this time, as they were in the sanctity of their room, he pulled her chin up so that she would meet his eye this time. When she pleaded him to stop, defeated he was on his knees. He was a man who was fallen and broken in love by his lovers rejection but the minute he saw that she was breaking he put his pain on the back burner and soothed her. Her pain will always matter more to him than his pain. For Abhimanyu, there is no one beyond Akshara.
“Kyun Kiya tumne aisa,”
“Mujhe aaj har sawaal ka jawaab chahiye, Har Khamoshi ka Hisab chahiye, Har naa ki wajah chahiye,”
“Kyun kiya tumne mere saath aisa? Sab ke saamne mera mazaq bana ke rakh diya tumne,”
“Yeh zindage tumnahi amanant hai, main kisi aur par quraban kar deta phir bhi chup rahi tum,”
“Arre Shaadi ho rahi thi meri, kisi aur se ho jati, hamesha ke liye kisi aur ka ho jata,”
“Yeh Kaisa Pyaar hai, yeh Kaunsa pyaar hai? Batao Mujhe”
“Sach ko chupaya, jooth ka saath diya”
“Kyun, Kyun, Kyun”
He demanded answers for her lies and his heartbreak. She answered with silence again.
He pushed, she begged him to stop.
His resolve broke when she begged, but he gathered himself again and told the woman who was his life no more hide and seek. He will have his answers come evening no matter what, and signing off; he jumped out the window. He had his own game of hide and seek to play.
“Tumhari chuppi ne bahut kuch bigada hai Akshu, Tumne sab ke baare mein socha. Apni Family, apni behen, sab ke baare mein bas mere hi baare mein nahin socha”
“Koi kadar nahi hai tumhe mere pyaar ki, aur jiski kadar nahi woh rahe ya na rahe Kya farak padta hai”
She did not value him and his love for her. Because he has always catered to her wishes, she took him and his love for granted. His way was a little extreme but it was time for the extreme measure. She needed to realize that his love was not something she could gift wrap for her sister. She was his universe, but he was her universe too. He was the one who hung upside down but showed her the error of her ways.
“Taras gaya tha main tumhare mooh se I love you sunne ke liye”
She told him that she loved him. This man is just parched for her love. Everything in his world was right again. When he puts her bracelet in his pocket its his way of telling her that now she is his and he will keep her close. He questioned her on why her finger was hurt and in turn she pointed to his finger. The man apologized for the pain she gave him. Certified Biwi Bhakt!
“ Kaunsi Ghalti, Dekho Jab Anth Bhala hota hai na toh sab bhala hota hai,’
“Aaj Hum Khade han ek dusre ke saath, haathon mein haath, sab theek hai, sab sahi hai,”
Dear Dr. Abhimayu Birla, I know that you love her. All you want is her and her love. But that was the height of Biwi Bhakti. You did not even let her apologise. And here I am making my first complaint to you, were felt all your heartbreak along with you. I wanted that apology. We wanted that apology. Your devotion to Akshara amazes me and then makes me fall for you a little bit more.
“Main Jaanta tha ke humara rishta atoot ban gaya hai”
“Ab Bahaut ho gaya mujhe aur confusion nahi chahiye, Mujhe aur deri, rukawat mein khed nahi chahiye,”
“Mujhe acha lagta hai ke tum sab ke baare mein sochti ho lekin please tumhara mahaan wala drama nahi chahiye,”
“Dekho jo tumhara hai woh tumhe milna chahiye, jo mera hai wh mujhe milna chahiye, right?”
“Toh Chalo hum bhaag jaate hain,”
“Hum Shaadi Kar lenge aur saath rahenge.”
Here I saw the glipmse of child that Abhimanyu lost as he has to grow up ahead of his time. This child like requests of his and how endearingly he is talking to her. He just wants a peaceful life with her. No mess, no drama. Him, her and love. Plain and simple. She is enough for him as she is his world. There is nothing beyond Akshara for this man. So when she said that we will not have a runaway wedding this man agreed without batting an eyelash. Why you ask me? Itni Jaldi kyun pighal jaata hai?”
Because he loves her, just the way she is. He knows that she can not live without her family so he is not changing that. All he wants is some space in her life for him. He loves her, flaws and all. He understand her. And that is the answer to every person who said that Abhimanyu does not understand Akshara. He does understand her but wanting a place her heart is not wrong.
There is nothing in this world that this man will not give Akshara. He will love his will all his being. He will protect her will all his might. He will cherish her with his every breath. All he wants is a share of her love because even he knows that he will be competing with her family for the rest of this life. Having said that Akshara be ready, he will fight for your attention at every step.
Today Abhimanyu Birla has just not committed to Akshara but to Geonkas as well. He may not do the ideal things but he will the right things.
He doesn’t want her to cry. He doesn’t want her anxiety to build up. He soothes her, comforts her. Asks her to hold it together. 💛 When she’s relaxed enough that he’s not forcing her anymore.. is when he gets relentless. He’s not given up on her, on them. He informs her he needs those answers, that she better give it to him, before the evening sets. He lets her know he’d do something (to himself) if she doesn’t turn up. Holy Yrk! I loved it all! ❤️🩹
