But yeah Adritrisha fans have become very rabid lately. Last year there were some rumors that Adrit and Supriya might get married in Nov, but clearly that did not happen. Plus recently Adrit has become a bit more active on social media...so the fans have become extra hyper these days. Honestly speaking except for a few, I tend to steer clear of most of the Insta fanpages these days. Most of them are always up in arms about something or the other these days.

@bold - Agree...with the way things are going I think Khukhumoni will overtake Mithai very soon

Adrit is not in insta na? He has fb but he posts promotionl stuff only. But Supriya has started to reply these fans in her way and that's actually making things a bit murkier. However, the sooner these fans understand that Adrit and ST are totally pole apart in real life, it will help them to calm down.

And the story is going down the lane day by day. Like yesterday, Sid k laughing stock baniye charlo puro. Aager yesterday kono mote position ta rekhechilo, ebar r hocchena. R storyline e kichu nei.

PS: The star cast may try to show us that they bond very well in offscreen. But nah! Ontoto Soumitrishar sathe toh noi 🥲

Don't know how will Sid get jealous of Omi 🤔

@blue - I think right now the creatives are testing audience reaction to Sid taking an active part in the Mishti business. They have not made him leave his PCG job entirely because they will steer the direction of the story based on the outcome of this Mishti hub track. If ratings increase then they might show Sid quitting his job, patching up with Somoresh and joining the family business for good...and if this does not happen then they will probably show him back at PCG having some major confrontation with Tess. Hope the latter happens only 😕

@green - No I don't think there is any scope of a jealousy track with an Agarwal. Too much has happened between the two families already for this to pan out. But later I would like a full-blown jealousy track maybe with an old friend of Mithai coming back or something...deka jak khub ekta kichu hobe bole to mone hoye na 🤔

See hope is there because there are still many important tracks remaining that need to be played out. But problem is that Zee bangla has categorized Mithai as a lambi race ki ghori so as a result they have lost all sense of concept and storyline.

Why Khukumoni is succeeding despite outlandish dialogues and overacting is because it has a very strong concept...Mithai also reached this level of success originally because of its strong characters and refreshing take on the same boy meets girl storyline. Now as you said the characters are getting butchered and the plot is all haywire but many of us have not given hope yet because of the great chemistry between Sidhai and because sooner or later the makers have to address the major remaining plots such as Mithai's education, Som's parentage, etc. 🥱

Also regarding Sid's character, I don't think they will be able to continue on this trajectory for too long. As I said in my previous post I think the creatives are presently trying to test out which direction to take...but if they butcher Sid's character too much they will have a haathe hurricane for sure 😆😆

@Red - I will have to disagree with you with these parts .. Coz if you see Sid's character from the beginning until now, he has the most developed character arc.. His character development has happened gradually (And I've said this many times) .. He didn't bond with his family overnight, or ended his friendship with Tess or fallen in love with Mithai just like that.. Everything happened slowly with time..

Sid's behavior with Mithai or even Sree was awful in the beginning.. But he changed, realized his mistakes from certain incidents.. Like he was never openly concerned about Sree until she decided to marry Ratul for family's reputation .. Sid started missing her after she left home.. Even Sree was surprised that her Dadabhai was missing her.. That was the beginning of healing Sid-Sree relationship..

Likewise Sid's behavior towards Mithai started changing after PCG guesthouse fire incident.. He started caring for her.. And gradually started to realize what a honest person she is..

And his friendship with Tess started falling apart after he found out that Tess has manipulated Mithai to agree with the divorce..

So I personally think Sid's character isn't ruined, all these changes were necessary.. And to be honest he hasn't changed completely, coz The Siddartha Modak is still present inside him.. It's just he has softened n is more chilled out nowadays..

On the contrary Mithai's character hasn't developed a bit.. Everything is rushed n ott when it comes to her.. Take yesterday episode for instance - she was acting so hyper.. This is the problem - Mithai is either "Miss I know it all" until she lands in some major problem like PCG party or getting arrested or even the recent Saranshi incident.. Or else she behaves like "Miss Bechari" with her "Dadur Nati eta korlo, Mithai er eto soubhaggo", " Tomar amay eto bhalobasho" .. There's no balance in her character.. Always extreme..

Long reply is good! At least we are thinking more about their characters than the creatives 😆Btw I do think there are certain things being shown, which doesn't go with The Siddharth Modak. And one of my biggest concern is why Sid is not concerned about her pronunciation and all Yes, twice or thrice it's funny but she has to study na! Saradin khali dokan jacche r ranna korche! Modak family does take her for granted. And this Omi Agarwal track ta jomche na. Boro over the place type!

Please don't apologize...you have made some excellent points that too in such a clear manner 👍🏼

I fully agree with you in that Sid's character development has been the most nuanced in this show and like you said it was also the most necessary given what he was before

Also as you said the changes have been shown quite beautifully over time so it makes a lot of sense...❤️

But I also kind of understand where @LoveAnny is coming from - in that there will be a problem if they show him to be too much of the typical aloo-bhathe ML. The Siddharth Modak does not need to be the same self-centered jerk that he was before...but at the same time if he does not maintain that certain edge then many people might be turned off. 😵

One thing which I feel makers have still not properly shown though is Sid confronting Tess for all her misdeeds. Han onek kotha suniyeche and he has put up boundaries as well...but never confronted her in a manner befitting her misdeeds. And this is the same guy who has broken a glass twice in anger in front of Mithai. Of course, he should not be violent but that is the level of confrontation towards Tess that I expect at least once 😡

Regarding Mithai's character - well you have said all there is to say on that. She has become this magical tinkerbell type of character flying in to either save everybody at all times or flying after her peter pan hoping for his attention ... Sheyi eki helep bola kimba dadu r naatir nokol kora is also getting very old these days. I read some interesting discussion under Sidhaifcx's post on yesterday's episode on this exact same thing actually. The commenter was expressing her frustration about how quickly Mithai bounced back from her mother's death...I definitely agreed with some of what she said 🤔
