Part 15
Shubhu started becoming responsible towards his business and he started talking to Priya freely without any inhibition. Ram was helping him setting up his business. Shubu started learning from his Bhai, he is not a quick learner but trying his level best.
Nandhini and her brother were waiting for a opportunity to create a rift between Ram and Priya. In their planning and plotting Nandhini didn't notice the changes in her son.
Ram was working on his laptop, while Priya was waiting for him to come so that they can sleep.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor it's getting late, come and sleep.
Ram: Priya this presentation is important for tomorrow's meeting.
Priya: you can prepare in the morning now come on.
Ram: Actually it's for shubhu's business. He have to attend the meeting tomorrow as I have another meeting in Bangalore. I will be back the next day. I am preparing it in such a way it will be easy for him to present.
Priya: what? Do you really have to go all the way there? Why can't you send someone instead of you?
Ram: No Priya, this is important meeting for us and I will be needed there.
Priya: I understand but you come as soon as your meeting got over.
Ram: okey madam. I will go to airport after going to our office. So I will drop you in morning and evening driver will pick you up.
Priya: you have planned everything without saying anything to me.
Ram: It's not like that. I don't want you to get upset thinking about it.
Priya: Hm
Ram: Do you feel sleepy Priya?
Priya: No Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Then you come and see whether you can understand this afterall you are also one of the partner.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor I don't know anything about business.
Ram: It will be easy for you, come here. I will teach you. I will be little relaxed if you started taking care of some of this.
Priya: I can't assure you anything regarding this as I don't have any idea about it.
Ram: don't stress yourself Priya. You just listen to the outline I tell you and then you give your geniune suggestions.
Priya nodded and Ram briefed her. Soon Priya started understanding the ways and methods as her husband is a pro in this department. She felt proud of her husband. He is truly a good sensible business man. Priya to suggested some changes which Ram accepted as he felt what she said was correct.
After completing the presentation both slept as soon as they hit the bed as they were really tired.
Next day, everyone one was busy with their work. Ram had his meeting in another state, so he asked adi to help shubhu in his presentation as he won't be available at that time.
Ram handed all the presentation related things to adi before going to airport. He had already sent a mail to shubhu regarding the presentation and also informed him about the same during their breakfast.
Ram bid bye to everyone and was about to get in the car when he felt like talking to Priya. He immediately got down and went to meet her.
He asked the receptionist to call priya and waited for her to come.
Priya was little shocked seeing him there.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor you are still here?
Ram: yeah I am starting for the airport. So thought of saying bye to you.
Priya: when is your flight?
Ram: In an hour.
Priya: oh
Ram: okey Priya take care. I will be back by tomorrow afternoon.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor if you don't mind shall I come with you to the airport.
Ram: your class?
Priya: Today I have only afternoon session.
Ram: fantastic, go and get your bag.
Priya: will be back in 2 mins.
Both got in the backseat of the car.
Ram: Priya, why don't you go to meera ma's house today? You can spend some time with your sisters too.
I will be back tomorrow and like usual I will pick you in the evening.
Priya: It's just one night Mr. Kapoor. I will stay in our home. We can go to ma's house once you returned from your trip.
Ram gave her a genuinely happy smile as she started considering the Kapoor mansion as her home. He took a hold of her hand and held it tightly with his both the hands.
Priya smiled at him, she did feel sad to stay alone in their home but their room will provide the presence of her husband.
Soon both got into the airport, Ram kept looking at her without saying anything while she kept looking everywhere except him.
Ram: Priya take care of yourself. Text me once you reach your institute.
Priya: okey
Ram: Then bye Priya
He slightly tapped her shoulder before walking in. He turned to look at her after taking two steps. He saw here standing with her head bent down and eyes fixed on floor.
He went near her and made her look at him by holding her chin. What he saw made him feel sad , his wife's eyes is fully red due to her controlling her tears. She didn't let the tears to spill out. Ram hugged her close to his heart.
Ram: you are my strength Priya, why would you cry for this? I will be back by tomorrow afternoon.
Priya: I don't know
She started crying saying this.
Ram: will you come with me?
Priya: How can I come with you now?
Ram: It's okey, next time I will take you with me wherever I go. Now smile biwi. I can't work thinking about your tear filled face.
Priya nodded her head while he wiped her tears. He kissed her forehead and asked her to stay safe before moving inside.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor
Hearing her, Ram turned to look at her and saw her coming towards him hurriedly.
Ram: Priya kya hua
Priya: woh Mr. Kapoor
Ram: kya hua Priya.
Priya: Please come fast. Will miss you..
A lone tear escaped from Priya's left eye which Ram wiped. He smiled at her and again kissed the top of her head before whispering a Miss you biwi. He went inside without turning back to see her as he don't want her to see his sad face while she kept looking at his retreating figure. She know it is difficult for him more than her.
Ram started his journey to Bangalore while Priya started to her institute.
Priya informed him after reaching her institute while he again asked her to take care of herself.
Soon Ram was busy in meeting while Priya was busy with her classes.
It was around 5.30 pm when adi called Ram to inform that shubhu had not reached the office and his number not reachable. The clients are on their way. Ram asked adi to again try his number while he will see what he can do.
Ram called his mom who informed him that shubhu and Sid had gone for seeing a cricket match which made his temper to rise.
Adi again called Ram to inform that they can't reach both sid and shubham.
Ram thought for a moment before deciding it.
Ram: Adi you arrange everything, I will ask Priya to attend the meeting. You guys be with her.
Adi: How will Priya handle everything Ram?
Ram: she will adi, you do like I said and just help her with the presentation. She will handle it.
Adi: will Priya agree to this Ram?
Ram: you do the preparation work. She will be there in 10 minutes.
Ram ended his call with adi and dialled his wife number.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor are you fine?
Ram: Priya I need your help
Priya: ji kahiye
Ram: Priya, we are not able to reach shubhu or Sid. The meeting is going to start in 15 mins. We can't cancel the meeting now as the clients are on the way to our office. Priya I need you to go and give the presentation and handle the meeting.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor mein kaise?
Ram: I have no other way Priya, I'm sorry for forcing you but this is the only option we have right now
Priya: why are you saying sorry and you are not forcing me. I will go Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Thank you so much Priya. I will ask adi to be ready. You go and join them.
Priya: okey Mr. Kapoor.
After ending the call, Priya went towards her husband's office.
Adi: Thank you so much for coming Priya, the clients will be here in 10 minutes. You can prepare in the meantime.
Adi showed Priya her seat and gave her the laptop with the presentation.
Priya nodded and started analysing the presentation. While she was preparing Ram called her
Priya: Mr. Kapoor
Ram: Are you nervous Priya?
Priya: yeah I don't want to embarrass you.
Ram: I have more confidence on you than I have on myself. Just be yourself. Don't worry about anything. All the best. Call me once you are done with the meeting.
Priya: ok Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Priya just remember you are my sherni.
Which made her chuckle a little. He wished her a luck and ended the call.
Soon the meeting got started and everyone was impressed with the way Priya presented it.
Their friends were so proud of Priya as she was nervous for only two minutes. Once she started it was like they are looking at Ram, she presented it with such a confidence that they wished Ram was here to witness it.
Once the clients went out adi,Kunal and vik started praising her while she smiled and gave the credit to her husband who worked hard for it. She thanked them also for their constant support.
They smiled at her in response.
Priya said her bye to them and went to her home.
Adi called Ram
Ram: Adi how did the meeting go? Where is Priya?
Adi: Ram, the meeting was super success. Everyone loved the presentation, where did you got the idea to modify the presentation Ram?.
Everyone was particularly impressed with the modifications you made.
Ram: It was Priya's idea.
Adi: what? she told everyone that it was fully your work.
Ram: yesterday while I was preparing she gave the suggestion, I felt it was right so made it accordingly. It was her idea.
Adi: Ram you should've seen the way Priya presented it.
Kunal: haan Ram, bhabhi ne toh Kamal kar diya.
Ram: I know she will handle it well.
Adi: she proved that Mrs. Ram Kapoor is nowhere less than Mr. Ram Kapoor in business.
Ram: I'm very glad that everything went fine adi.
Adi: yeah all credits to priya.
Ram: Adi I will call you back.
Adi: okey Ram, bye and take care
Ram: ok guys bye.
Ram called Priya immediately after ending his call with adi
Ram: I asked you to call me once your meeting got over and madam never called me.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor I was going to call you when I got your call.
Ram: Thank you Priya.
Priya: why would you thank me? Sara kaam apne toh Kiya. I just presented it.
Ram: Priya adi can't seem to stop praising you. He literally became your fan after today.
Priya: Mr. Kapoor stop teasing me.
Ram: arey I'm telling the truth.
Priya: yeh sab chodiya, where is shubham? Is he alright? What happened to him? Why didn't he attend the meeting?
Ram: don't even ask Priya, I was happy seeing the positive changes in him. I thought he is becoming responsible but again he disappointed me. Is watching a match and partying is more important than his business?
Atleast he should have informed me before hand?
Priya: Did you talk to him?
Ram:I didn't attend his call when he called sometime back.
Priya: why would you do that? You should have talked to him.
Ram: I don't want to say something I will regret later. Priya you talk to him.
Priya: ok Mr. Kapoor. Actually I have reached home. I will call you back once I talked to shubham.
Ram: ok Priya and I have a surprise for you
Priya: surprise, what surprise Mr. Kapoor?
Ram: That I will show you tomorrow. Now you get some rest. I will call you later.
Priya: bye Mr. Kapoor.
When Priya entered Kapoor mansion, she saw nandhini, her sister in law and her brother in the living room.
Nandhini: Priya did you talk to Ram?
Mami: Everything is happening because of her only.
Priya: Mom what happened? Where is shubham?
Nandhini: we can't reach shubu's number Priya. Last time when I talked to him, he seemed upset because of Ram. Did Ram hurt shubhu?
Priya: what are you talking Mom? He will never do a thing that will hurt his family. How can you even ask that question?
Mami: is this how you will talk to your mother in law?
Priya: No, Mera woh matlab nahi
They were speaking when heavily drunken shubhu entered the house. Everyone got shocked seeing him like that.
Nandhini: shubhu why did you drink so much?
Priya: shubham yeh sab kya hai
Shubhu: woh bhaiii
Before he can complete he fainted on the living room couch.
Nandhini called the house help and asked them to take shubhu to his room while she followed them.
Priya was about go behind nandhini when mama and mami stopped her.
Mami: you and your husband are responsible for our Shubham's state. Why would Ram make you a partner in shubu's business? And now you are attending the meeting, you both are sidelining shubhu in his own business.
Priya: you're mistaken. He will never do something that will hurt his family.
We will talk about this later, now I will go and help mom.
She was about to move forward when mami again stopped her.
Mami: If you really want to help her then return you share to shubhu and allow him to have the full power on his business. Your partnership is what creating this conflict between the brothers which never ever happened before.
Priya: How can I..
Mami: why? You were the one who always said about not wanting any property or money. Now what happened to you? Do you started liking the power, property and money?
Priya: I never needed money or property from this family. If giving up on my shares brings peace to this family then I will gladly give it shubu.
Now please allow me to see shubhu.
Mama: I will ask the lawyer to prepare the papers, you sign it first thing in the morning.
Priya just nodded her head and went to see shubu who was in deep sleep.
She decided to speak to him in the morning.
Priya went to her room , after getting freshen up, she sat at the balcony thinking about the happenings of the day. She missed her husband, if he would be here then everything will be fine. That's when Ram called her
Priya: hello
Ram: Are you okey Priya?
Priya: haan.
Ram: did someone said something to you? Are you fine? What is happening there?
Priya: Mr. Kapoor please allow me to answer you.
Ram: tell me
Priya: I am fine and everyone is fine. I'm just tired.
Ram: did you eat anything?
Priya: I was going to have my dinner.
Ram: it's getting late, first have something.
Priya: ok Mr. Kapoor. What about your dinner? When are you returning back? How was your meeting?
Ram smiled at her and proceeded to answer her questions.
Ram: I had my dinner, I have morning flight and meeting was a successful one. Did you talk to shubhu?
Priya: He is sleeping Mr. Kapoor. I will talk to him in the morning.
Ram: ok Priya, you to have your food before sleeping and don't skip your dinner. Will see you tomorrow.
Priya: ok Mr. Kapoor. Take care and have a safe journey. Good night Mr. Kapoor.
Ram: Good night Priya. Bye.
Priya slept after drinking a glass of milk.
Next morning, when Priya came down for breakfast, she saw mama and mami waiting for her
Mami: here are the papers sign it
She handed the papers to Priya who got it silently.
Priya: I want to talk to shubham before that.
Mami didn't allow her and at the same shubham came down.
Priya: I want to talk to you privately shubham.
Shubham: ji bhabhi.
Mami: what is the need to talk to privately, you talk whatever you want infront of us.
Shubhu: mami please, I will take care of it.
Priya talked to shubhu and sorted it out before going to her job.
Nandhini, her sister in law and brother was angry at Priya as she never signed it.
Nearly evening Ram reached his home, he got freshen up and was eagerly waiting for his wife as he had a planned a surprise for her. He was talking to adi when nandhini interrupted him.
Nandhini: I need to talk to you
Ram: yes mom tell me.
Nandhini: did you ask Priya to return her shares to shubhu?
Ram: No mom why would I do that?
Nandhini: Then why did Priya made this paper?
Ram got the paper from nandhini and saw the paper which shocked him.
Nandhini: why does Priya can't respect your decision? Why would see decide something like this on her own? I don't understand what Priya is thinking.
Ram: Even I don't understand mom. Everything was fine, then why would she decide something like this?
Nandhini: Ram you talk to her and make her understand to respect your feelings.
Ram nodded at his mom while nandhini smirked seeing Ram's confused state.
Priya returned from her job with little excitement as she would get to see her husband after a day.
Priya came into their room to find Ram standing in their balcony
Priya: Mr. Kapoor
One look at him she know something wasn't right
Priya: Mr. Kapoor is everything alright? Are you okey?
Ram: you have to tell me priya. Is everything alright?
Priya: what do you mean?
Ram gave her the papers to read, Priya got shocked seeing the papers in his hand.
Ram: what is the meaning of this?
Priya: woh
Ram: why can't you respect my feelings for once Priya?
Priya: Mr. Kapoor you are getting it wrong. I can explain.
Ram: without your knowledge no one can make such a document. Why would you do this?
Before Priya can explain , Ram stormed out saying
Ram: I don't want to say something that I will regret later, you disappointed me priya. I want to be alone for sometime.
Priya stood rooted to her place seeing the hurt in his eyes.
