Rishabh Pant's century is for the ages. The wicket was doing its bit, it was deteriorating by the minute and yet he smashed a century. He has played a match-winning knock now in Australia, South Africa and England. Proves that his kind of player can and will excel in Test cricket.

Let us be honest here.

This match is South Africa's to lose.

I am happy Pant made a century. It is not just any century. He made this 100 under very difficult conditions. The only real support he got was from Kohli before lunch.

India all out for 198.

India should take as many wickets as possible. Make it a bit difficult for SA to cruise through their innings.

Cheers..

Well.. what an inning from Rishabh Pant and as the saying goes Luck favours the brave.

RSA needs 211.

India needs quick early wickets to put RSA on the back foot.

May Bumrah, Shardul and Shami do their magic.

211 is not an easy score to get in the 4th innings.

Now everything depends on our bowlers.

Let us hope for the best.

They bowled well and cashed in on all their opportunities

Now it's time for us to do the same 😈

212 is a good score as far as our bowlers do their job! Let’s hope India wins

Tea break

Ngidi was the star in this session. He got three wickets in no time and got the South Africans back into the game. Rabada and Jansen then joined the party as they got rid of the tail quickly. Overall, South Africa will be very pleased with their effort with the ball. They were at it right from the start today. Jansen, Ngidi and Rabada have given their side a real chance to win this series.

But as I said earlier, it will be difficult to score above 200 in the 4th innings on this wicket.

A session dominated by the South Africans but it belongs to Rishabh Pant, who brought up his fourth Test hundred against all odds. He showed everyone his full range - caution, aggression, innovation and calmness. It was Pant, who started the session with a couple of sensational strikes against Keshav Maharaj. However, South Africa and Lungi Ngidi responded with the wickets of Virat Kohli and Ravichandran Ashwin. Although Thakur promised much, he was no match to Ngidi, who was the pick of the bowlers in the session. Rabada and Jansen returned for a second spell to get rid off the tailenders although none of them could get past Pant, who was offered a reprieve by Maharaj towards the end of the session.

The match is hanging right in the balance with 212 being a tricky target on this surface. Can India strike a couple of blows early with the ball and dent the Proteas batting attack or will Proteas start well with the bat hand? All our questions shall be answered soon.

Well said Bee. Good analysis⭐️

India, though, would not feel out of it. They managed to keep the hosts under 212 in the first innings and will back themselves to defend this. South Africa on the other hand, won the second Test chasing a score bigger than this one and will fancy their chances.

The Indian batting was quite disappointing. Had it not been for Pant, they would have well and truly been out of the game. His 100 could well be the difference. None of the others, even managed to cross the 30-run mark. Actually, except for Kohli and Pant nobody else got over 20. Quite disappointing and India would feel, they are 30 to 40 short of what could be called a par score.
