It could be also a change in Akshara. I mean Sati devi was more shy and modest. Whereas in Parvati devi is usually shown as strong and a go getter. So this could be Akshara's change and her standing up for her love? 🤔 I don't know.

Probably because in an indirect way, Sati wouldn't have died if she obeyed her father and did not marry Shiva. Of course both would be heart broken and living a miserable life but better than her not being in the world at all I guess.
