I remember when Ahem died in Saathiya trps dropped a lot and people were unable to accept Dr Krishna so they had to bring Jaggi who was Ahem's lookalike and then trps rose up again. But the thing is if audience had successfully accepted AryLie then it does not matter anymore whether Aditya leave or exist as he is technically no more the male lead.

Mai bhi dekhti thi kuch scenes channel ghumake. I use to like its DOP and presentation. Kaafi modern show thaa aur saare characters ko acchi screen space milti thi. Ahaan ki family kaafi modern thi. Aur Pankti ki mom was a never explored character on ITV before.

I had seen that ppl (trp audience) accepts replacement of actor very easily but not replacement of character (new character or new lead)

And honestly ek chiz mujhe samaj aagayi ki hamari audience youth oriented shows kaafi pasand karte hai. Like Tu Aashiqui was basically a romantic youth drama but it opened very well with 2.1 ratings and went upto 2.6. Matlab audience ko pasand bohot aaya thaa show. Aur yahi cheez maine YUDKBH and Aladdin ke saath bhi dekha kyunki unme bhi 16-25 ke beech wale youth couples the. Once again the same happened in YRKKH new leap story also (Not a youth show though).
