dont throw chappals at me.. but i must be the only one who dint like this Jungli word for her.. like its okay for comedy but as a strong headed female myself use of the word Jungli has kind of irked me from the start.. i am still on ignoring mode abt it for a good AryLie dynamic but this video made me think something different today..

and i did some analysis abt Jungli..

Jungli is like Wild.. that Imlie is and thats how he is in her life so far to straighten that Wilderness in her.. not completely but give it a shape,..

like she is Tiger cub and he will help her become the Tigress.. he is making her know her strength and polish them further..

and now i can feel Jungli as HER nickname by HIM suites their dynamic just soo much.

I think one has been shared before but I’m sharing it again because it captures quite a few different moments of him just looking at Imlie - you know sometimes caught off guard, sometimes trying to solve this puzzle that she is to him.

If you remember when went looking for imlie in her college, and had conversation with principal he said she has no manners... Principal said you can't judge her she got 2 schorships and many hardships to reach here.

Aryan said "jungle ka sher agar sheher aa jaye toh raaj nahi karta... Circus hi karta hai"

That was so on point... Then reinstated his role by teaching her how to use chopsticks. And other scenes that follows....

That’s a great interpretation of it.

I never associated it as a bad thing. At first he might’ve meant it as an insult but the more he said it the less it meant that. Even just the tone of his voice when he says it.

I think for me it was so similar to RK’s Biwi in Madhubala. He used it to mock her because they never had a full wedding with all the rituals, so she wasn’t really his biwi. But you heard the tone with which he used that word change over the course of their relationship. Even in that in-between time where their feelings weren’t love yet.

Jungli to me was and is like that. Anybody else calling her Jungli would not be okay. It’s a word that’s reserved just for him to use for her because it’s something between them that changes the whole meaning of the word for both of them.

I love that you did some digging into it though, cause like I said, I do love your interpretation of this word to give it more meaning.

I remember seeing this at the start of my ATBA journey .. it’s a fun watch. And now it’s believable why he was so good in those boxing/fighting scenes 🥵
