First of all, I understand all the emotional difficulties that are trying to be portrayed within her. She lost her biological mother while she was still a baby, was made to believe that her mother's doppelganger was her actual mother, had to witness her step-mother die in her arms, had to find out her father died on the same day, has had to deal with a younger step-sister who hates and blames her for every little thing that goes wrong in her life, is taught by her family members that true love is equivalent to making sacrifices, and finds it easier to keep her true feelings and opinions bottled up rather than discuss them with her family because they haven't created a safe space for her to do so.
I get all of that.
HOWEVER.
Her emotional difficulties DO NOT give her the right to treat Abhimanyu like shit. She isn't some ignorant, helpless victim who doesn't know what kind of consequences her actions will have. If she's knowledgeable enough to call out Arohi on her shit whilst stating her own qualifications as a therapist, then she sure as hell should be able to do the same when it comes to Abhimanyu! This differential treatment from her is frankly disgusting and it really does make me question her credibility as a therapist.
If she doesn't love Abhimanyu, then state so and MOVE THE FCK ON. STOP crying over him, showing him pain-filled eyes so that hope is ignited within him. Show him CLEARLY in words, actions, body language and behaviour that there is no love for him. But no, she'll jump into fires, risk her own reputation to save his, plan secret birthday parties and all for what? So that he wouldn't love her?? This is her way of showing that she has moved on? Give me a fcking break.
The biggest thing that gets to me is her lack of respect for Abhimanyu. I don't know about others, but for me, the biggest trait in any relationship is respect. If there's respect, trust and love will automatically follow. By constantly lying to Abhimanyu about her feelings she is insulting not just him but also the purity behind the emotion of love. She is consistently proving that for her, NO ONE is more important for her than her brat of a sister. If this is the case, then honestly, Abhimanyu should drop her ass and go off on his own. He can find so many women better than the Goenka sisters.
This man has on countless occasions supported her, confessed his love for her in the most respectful way possible, is consistently giving her chances to speak the truth but she keeps denying him an honest answer. If she doesn't want to be with him, fine. The VERY LEAST he deserves is the TRUTH about things involving him - whether it's about who saved him from the fire, or who truly loves him - he is entitled to it. The fact that he's being treated like garbage by the woman he loves madly is saddening and makes me hate Akshara even more.
Abhimanyu fcked up ONCE during the initial rishta proposal but Akshara has been fcking shit up consistently and it's absolutely inexcusable now. She can cry as many buckets of tears as she wants but until she opens her fcking mouth to tell the ENTIRE truth, she isn't getting a single ounce of sympathy from me.
