I dont like Priya - Page 2

Wow I feel we alway go by face value … in fact I Fe Priya is the only realistic character in current TV. She is what she is ok everyone’s face. This is what most of the girls are like now a days. She has become like this with so much difficulties in her life. And in of the episode they mentioned in the family full of girls one has to become tougher to protect their family. I totally support her and love her ❤️❤️She is changing and of course because our Softie. It’s amazing to see this beautiful journey of couple's. How they will heal each other and change each other for good❤️

There is nothing wrong in not liking the lead character. I hv so.many hated the leads but in spite of it hv gone ahead to watch the show just to see how the story goes.

To start with even I have not liked Priya at all! If she is filled with negativity she has to be negative to all people around her. Why just Ram? Why doesn't she taane maar Mr. sood or her step mom? Why does she hear all that non sense com them? Why is it just for Ram? That's why I get annoyed! But I have to admit that of late she is turning a little bit better I felt. However now with the precap I can sense her going 10 steps backwards.

I don't even agree with Ram to be so nice to his step family and Vedika. I want him to show the mirror. I wud be ok if Priya is like how she is with people who have wronged her. All that negativity is for Ram inspite of knowing Ram is such a softie. She being nice to Shivi, Vedika, Shubham or Nandini also I am ok bcoz she doesn't know their real faces. But she being nice or rather silent (no taane I mean) to Mr. Sood, her step mom and Mytri is what I hate.

But Priya isn't nice to Mr. Sood 😕 She literally handed him over to the police without thinking twice! And she also always gives it back to her step mom and Raj too.. like when she confronted them for feeding prawns to Ram ! With them she doesn't even interact much..and she does give it back to them fair and square when they cross the line.. that's why they hate Priya so much more than the other sisters! Even Mr. Sood taunts Priya all the time, guess why? Coz she is the only one who has the guts to stand against him. If you mean why she doesn't shout or always argue with them, well it's because she may have bitterness in her but she is a respectful human being. However evil he may be, Mr. Sood is still her father, and it's not easy to completely cut off someone with whom you have blood ties. And Priya's mom being still quite devoted to her father makes her a but weak too sometimes because maybe she feels that hurting her father would mean hurting her mom too? Here it's completely Meera's fault I would say that she kept entertaining Mr. Sood all these years. In a way, it confuses Priya.

And about why she gives taane to Ram.. well as viewers we feel bad because we see both sides of the coin, but Priya still has a lot of prejudices in her mind about men, and rich people in general. Her life hasn't been kind to her.. and Neeraj has broken her in more ways than one. She has built boundaries around her heart and it's not easy for her to break those boundaries so easily. Also, I feel like Ram surprises her by being so nice.. and she is caught off guard sometimes..which makes her get even more defensive than usual sometimes! But she is changing.. and it will take time.. we just have to be patient as viewers.

I am glad that we have a FL on tv who thinks with her head and not with her heart for a change.. she doesn't get carried away by emotions and is quite guarded which every girl should be in today's world. I am not saying that we should be negative about life...but yes we deffo need to be cautious. Esp around rich influential people like Ram Kapoor who can easily use us in the wrong ways if they want. ( Yeah we as viewers know what Ram is like but Priya still doesn't..she is still learning) .

About Maitri, and why she is nice to her and doesn't give her taane, I have this theory.

Firstly Maitri is her sister, and thus family. She being the elder one probably gave a lot of laad pyaar to her younger sis Maitri.. and when she ended up marrying Neeraj Priya was heartbroken but she eventually forgave her because of her love for her. Also, i feel like she took the whole incident in a negative way on herself .. thinking that she isn't beautiful (inside out) like Maitri and hence she deserves to be rejected by Neeraj. At the end of the day she wanted her sis to be happy, and if she was happy with Neeraj, she thought, so be it. But as we all can see, she isn't super close to Maitri and has made herself a bit distant to her in some way. But yes, she has forgiven her.

And i feel like there's more to this part of the story of Maitri marrying Neeraj. Something's strikes as weird here...and i feel like something has happened which we still don't know. Anyway, it may just be my speculation.

From the episodes I have watched, my two cents-

Priya never fears calling spade a spade be it anybody. She doesn’t know how to sugar coat words, she is not diplomatic. I like this character of her since it is very much required to keep Sood Sr., Vedika, Shubham, especially Neeraj in place. she doesn’t interact with Nandini much to show her the mirror, probably we may get to see that too in future.

Even to Ram, since her words are not diplomatic or sugar coated, it sounds like a taunt. She has to spell out to him most of the times that she is not taunting him, just speaking the truth. She is forced to speak without diplomacy and strongly since she knows there is nobody to fight for or support her. She fears that people may perceive her as weak if she doesn’t behave certain way. But her intentions are never bad.

I hope the writers maintain the straightforwardness and strength of her character.

She is shown as socially awkward and not have interests or hobbies, may be because her life goal was just to study hard, make a living to support her family and did not have time for anything else. May be, I don’t know.

This is just my POV and others may have different opinions for liking/disliking her characterization.

Thank God! Someone who could pen down the exact thoughts I had in my mind. 🤗 Well, I agree with you. I never understood why people thought Priya gave taunts, she just shares what she feels is the truth. Weirdly, people misunderstand her straightforward nature as taunts. And I can relate to it, many people in real life are the same. They cannot sugarcoat words to make someone feel good. They just state whatever they have to as it is.

She did hand him over to.police but whenever he says something insulting she has been just shown to.listen and later feel bad or cry. So I was wondering if she had a good relationship with her father earlier and he changed after his second marriage. But unfortunately that's not the case. Mr. sood has always been like that!

Why call a spade a spade only when that spade happens to be Ram is my question. When Shivina threatened to go under the bus she went out of her way to put her life in danger and make sure Shivina gets what she wants. Why wasn't the spade called out then? Why wasn't Shivina stupidity called out?

I think Priya always wanted Akki-Shivina to get married since she thinks they truly love each other and that was the sole reason for her marriage with Ram. When she was told that the marriage was cancelled without any proper reasoning given, she went out of her way to get them married thinking Shivina might do something drastic. She is a human too and may not have known, that is Shivina’s way to get things done. But it is also shown as Priya repenting after knowing the reason and she went out of her way again to NS arrested.

My understanding from the show is Priya and No never had a good relationship,NS always hurting her with words, she chooses to remain silent or away from NS, Probably not to get hurt more.

Why would Priya talk differently (out of her character) to Ram when he did not consider this a real marriage, did not do anything about the annulment. He was not showing any support for her till just recently. How can she completely trust Ram seeing his actions.

I don't like Priya, I love Priya honestly speaking 😆

TM@ Its OK if you don't like Priya, we can't like everyone, be it fiction or reality. Tastes differ from people to people.

But her words to Ram aren't taunts exactly. She's too bitter and her disappointments are reflected in her behavioral pattern. She thinks that Ram and her are quite different and the rich people behavior is always criticized by middle class people. So it's not uncommon. But her intention is not to hurt or belittle him. Can understand her nature well and find it relatable.
