Yeah it's common there. Mostly at church weddings as far as I know, where the bridesmaids and groomsmen are more distinctive and different from the rest of the guests. But not so much here. Especially not at traditional hindu weddings. But since it's not actually the wedding but only engagement they must be doing this match-y thing. People nowadays are doing all kinds of stuff in their weddings nowadays 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
