sakte hum iske elawa itv
Matlab audience ke paas choice nahin hai unke paas bus ek hi cheeje monotous cheeje dekhne ko bachi hai woh hai bus romance?
Thioda to change hona chahiye
I can understand your frustration and from where it is coming from but unfortunately itv mein family drama and romance hi chalta hai.
Have you seen suits? Its a fantastic show, you can check out on netflix. Its purely based on profession of lawyers. In each episode they discuss cases and struggles they face, plans they make, research they go through to win it. The relationship of main leads plays secondary part and it is beautifully interwoven in their professional life. But you cant expect indian audience to process, digest and like such fast pace, work oriented shows.
Thats why there are ott platforms. There are show available for every type of viewers. Pick according to your taste but you cant expect every show to accommodate your taste and preference specially indian shows because indian people, trp aunties who are mostly are house wives need a relief from daily routine, monotonous life and they like all that pomp and show in the name of festival celebrations, romance, kitchen politics. Certainly they will prefer these shows instead of shows which require concentration amd focus.
Have you seen shadi mubarak on star plus? That was supposed to be a show about woman who starts her career in 40s and want to make it big in event management but what happened afterwards...they had to include romance, family and sautan drama in it. No indian show can survive without it. There are several examples.
Forget about shows even in indian movies people want to see romance and kjo, rajshree type dramas. Have you seen rocket singh? It was a brilliant movie starring ranbeer kapoor. It was based on sales profession. But it flopped and movies like ajab prem ki gazab kahani, hum sath sath hain, hum aapke hain kaun, ddlj were superhit.
So preference of indian audience is pretty clear. And makers want to earn money at the end unhone women empowerment, professional growth dikhane, society ko change karne ka theka nahi liya hai. They are money minded people. Wo bas utna hi storyline mein adjust karte hai jitna wo bina family drama, romance miss kiye adjust kar sakte hain.
