'Saali, Aadhi Gharwali?'
Destiny. Kismat. Fate. Naam jo bhi ho, it was screwing Akshara over. She desperately tried to avoid Abhimanyu, but the universe had other plans for her. Mahima Birla propositioned Akshara a job at their NGO that Akshara couldn't decline. Mahima said Akshara was perfect for the job because she knew some of these kids. Since the job wasn't at the hospital, she couldn't cite Harshvardan's objections as grounds for refusal. Then, frequent visits to the hospital to treat NGO patients pushed her Abhimanyu's arms further. The intimacy the two share in an eye lock supersedes anything she's seen before. They don't dialogue or touch to communicate and feel each other's presence. The feelings his presence ignites are forbidden in a Jija-Saali relationship, and the thought of anyone finding it out, besides Haider - Akshara had an inkling he already knew something was up -, made Akshara's skin crawl with chagrin. Moreover, Aarohi, her Aaru, requested Akshara's help planning the wedding in a tone laced with honey and sugar. Aarohi ka mandap Akshara ka sapno aur uski pyaar ki aarthee (pyre) par sajega.
As the days went by, Akshara's plight fell into the background as the rapid pace of wedding planning shifted all the attention on Aarohi. Still, Manish, Kairav, and Haider knew better than to believe Akshara's charades of 'Main khush hoon, sachi.' Kairav kept pressuring Haider to reveal his 'plans,' but the latter wouldn't budge. Instead of sharing, Haider assured Kairav that he'd understand when things pick up the speed.
On the morning of Aarohi-Abhimanyu's engagement party, the Birla Villa was bustling with energy and preparations. Manjari, Anand, and Harshvardan Birla were exuberant. By looking at how Manjari sang and danced through the house, one could never guess she had been sick a few days ago. There was a spring in Harshvardan's step that stupefied onlookers as this sombre old businessman was giddy like a schoolgirl.
"Bhaisaab, everything is perfectly set. All the hospital benefactors RSVP-ed, Aaj Tak is sending their finest coverage team, and Bhabhi ne decorations set ki hai to woh to sahi honge hi" Harsh beamed, pacing before his elder brother, constantly awaiting updates from the venue. "First, we'll invite the Goenka's on the stage, have the engagement, and then announce the new wing the Goenka's donated. It'll establish our business and personal relations. Perfect PR!"
"Haan Harsh," Anand assured soberly. "Par tum ase chakkar kyun lag aa rahe ho? Sab kuch thik hoga. You just said as much yourself."
"Kyunki Abhimanyu ka koi barosa nahi hai."
"Abhimanyu is a grown man and a renowned cardiothoracic surgeon. He can handle himself just fine," Mahima chastised.
"Woh sab tab lago hota hai jab Akshara beech mein nahi hoti. When Akshara's around, he's something else." Harshvardan took a deep breath before continuing. "I just hope everything goes as planned."
Anand and Mahima hummed in understanding.
...
The party was in full blast. The Birla brothers, Neil and Parth, welcomed the guests while the elders engaged them in sterling conversations. The guests were invited to the party on the premise that the Birla's had a big announcement, but none had the slightest clue of what the news was. When the Goenka's arrived, excluding Aarohi and Akshara, who would make a separate entry shortly before the announcement, buzz picked up among the attendees. Considering the tilak drama and the paparazzi visit at Aarohi's accident, none expected a positive relationship between the Goenka's and Birla's.
Amidst a room of cheerful and carefree individuals, Kairav felt isolated, bursting with stress and impatience.
"What are you waiting for?" Kairav chastised Haider, who was sipping a mocktail in laxity. "For Aarohi and Abhimanyu to be married with kids for you to intervene in this tamasha?"
"Kairav, relax. Koi sun lega" Haider. They were in a room full of people, not Mars. For Godsakes, people couldn't hear them, Haider thought, internally rolling his eyes.
"Kya relax? The Birla's will announce the engagement any moment now, and then there will be no stopping this. The fallout from breaking this alliance after today will wreck everything. The Birla's reputation, the Goenka's stature, Akshu aur Aaru ka relationship. Sab kuch!"
"Toh kisne kaha aaj engagement announce hogi."
"What?"
"Aaj koi engagement nahi announce hogi" Haider sang nonchalantly.
"We're standing a hall decked for the engagement. Harshvardan uncle waiting for the clock to strike like Cinderella to make his proclamation aur tumhe lagta hai ki engagement nahi hogi? Ase kaise?"
"Ase" With that, Haider turned and winked at three boisterous young men at the corner near the entrance. The men responded to Haider with a nod.
Aarohi and Akshara entered the venue clad in beautiful lehengas and stunning white gold jewelry.
My dreams are finally coming true Aarohi thought as she beamed at the sight before her
Aarohi and Akshara's eyes searched the room for the same pair of deep brown orbs. Aarohi's eyes met his eyes with expectations of admiration while Akshara held her head low in fear that his eyes would unmask her truth.
"Abhimanyu, jao Aarohi ko escort Aarohi and introduce her to our guests" Harsh ordered.
"Sir, woh koi bachi nahi hai ki pehle Akshara usse escort karo aur phir main"
"Abhi" Manjari warned her son, noticing his rising tone. "It will look nice. Please."
"Maa," Abhimanyu's eyes pleaded for his mom to understand that he couldn't fake being in love with someone other than her. He couldn't share his attention with someone else when there she stood, clad in rose floral lehenga with her hair long black hair open and flowing. A sharp, chilly breeze slid in through the ajar entrance and blew strands across her face. Abhimanyu fought to restrain the urge to head over to her and graze her hair back into place.
"Mere liya, Abhimanyu" Abhimanyu relented to his mother's requests and walked towards the pair of sisters.
Akshara unclasped her hand with her sister's and took a step back when she saw him approaching, but Aarohi couldn't care less as she smoothed her dress and perked up.
"Hi, Dr. Aarohi," Abhimanyu croaked, finding it challenging to tear his eyes away from her distraught sister. His shoulders were tense and uneasy.
"Hi, Abhimanyu! How do I look?"
"Uh..." Abhimanyu was pressed for the right word. "You look fine."
"Sirf fine?" Aarohi questioned as she was dismayed by his pale response. My body's grown stiff from hours sitting in the parlour to get this look ready, and he says just fine.
"Haan woh, Maa aur Sir tumhe kuch guests se introduce karna chahte hai. That's what I came to tell you."
"Really?! Then why are we standing here? Chalo bhi!" She insisted as she skipped over to her to-be in-laws, leaving Abhimanyu and her sister in her dust.
Abhimanyu stood before Akshara with his hands fisted in his suit pockets while Akshara looked everywhere but at him.
"Behan ki saaghai hai par tum khush ni lag rahi ho. Kyun?" Abhimanyu demanded, stepping closer into her personal space when Akshara moved back.
"I'm fine" she smeared a smile on her face. "Tum apna dekh lo."
The tension between the two was palpable as Kairav and Haider watched from their seats at the bar. Haider discretely issued a thumbs up at the three men and began their plan.
"Yeh Aarohi haan na?" One of the three men asked from their place near the entrance.
"Nahi, bhai. Ye uski behan Akshara hai. Aarohi toh woh chali" another point in Aarohi's direction.
"Suno tha ki in dono ka bhi chakkar tha" peeped the third member.
"In dono ka? Matlab Akshara Goenka aur Abhimanyu Birla?" questioned the second.
Since they were within earshot, Abhimanyu and Akshara's heads sprang at the sound of their names.
"Haan" the third man insisted far too enthusiastically for Abhimanyu's liking.
"Ladki badi karak hai bhai!" said the first oogling Akshara with lustful eyes. Akshara grew uncomfortable from the stares and opened her dupatta and covered her chest.
"Girlfriend na sahi par Saali toh banegi Akshara"
"Aur kehta hai na, saali aadhi gharwali hoti hai" the three boys hooted and laughed while Abhimanyu steadied his fist, mind made up to approach the trio.
"Abhimanyu, just relax. Yahan pe scene create mat karo, aaj Aarohi ke liya bahot bada din hai" It took three men teasing her to finally bare her earnest eyes at him and block his path.
"Par"
"Please" she begged.
"Thik hai." He grunted before taking a few breaths to satisfy Akshara's directives, "ab toh main unse jaa kar baat kar saktha hoon, na?" And with that Abhimanyu rushed to meet the three at the door while Akshara watched aghast and anxious at the impending encounter.
"Kya baatein ho rahi hai guys" Abhimanyu said casually, wrapping an arm around one of the man's shoulder's in mock jest.
"Kuch nahi, hum soch rahe thee ki tumhe do param sundari itni assani se kaisi mili" another replied, unaware of the danger Abhimanyu proposed to them.
"Baata hoon baata hoon" Abhimanyu whispered for the next part "par yahaan nahi. Itne saare baare baare logon mein asi baatein nahi hooti na. Bahar chal ke dekhte hai"
Abhimanyu ushered the three into the alley behind the venue while Akshara, Haider, Kairav and the Birla Brothers watched in worry.
"What is Bhai about to do? Announcement hone wali hai, ye kahan jaa raha hai?" Muttered Parth in sheer horror.
"Chalo, usse akeli nahi chod sakte" remarked Neil as they rushed to follow them.
"Kaha tha na, jab annoucement ka time hoga to Abhimanyu gayab hoga" whispered Haider with a mischievous glint as Akshara ran to the two, requesting their assistance in stopping Abhimanyu from greatly injuring the two.
Gonna read and be right back
I am back.
First off I want to know did the goons kidnap Abhi or Abhi kidnapped the goons?
I like how Abhi just ignores Aarohi, here and in the show.
This was much needed after today's episode. This feel like a filler week, nothing is happening.
Great work and update soon!
Honestly, todays episode made me a lil sad cause there's a chance that the way they're planning the Abhira marriage might be what i wanted for the fic

Abhimanyu led the trio into the alley behind the venue swiftly on the premise that he'd reveal his "secret" for wooing the Goenka sisters. On route, the trio chattered amongst themselves while Abhimanyu grunted along with their talks to feign attention while counting down the seconds until they reached their destination so he could beat them to a pulp.
"Hum yahan kya kar rahe hai?" Asked Rey feeling freaked out by the shady atmosphere in the alley. It was nightfall, and the path was somewhat lit by a lamppost a few feet away.
Sid rested atop a garbage trunk while his partners surrounded him. "Tumhari technique koi CIA ka raaz todi hai ki hum itni gupt jaga main baat kare" he quipped while removing some cobwebs that touched his suit jacket.
"Technique to simple hai, boss" Abhimanyu's raspy voice echoed in the environment as he flung his shirt jacket on the trash bin, jolting Sid upright. "Gym jao, body banao, aur phir" Abhimanyu's concentration capped at Sid, letting the others back away from the line of immediate fire as they sensed Abhimanyu's destructive intentions. Sid made the karak hai comments on Akshara that tipped Abhimanyu over the edge.
"Phir?" Sid solicited in a meek voice.
"Phir tum jaise idiots ko ladkiyon ki tameez karni sikho" and Abhimanyu grabbed Sid's collar with such force that Sid was lifted above the ground.
"Aye Be, kya kar raha hai!" Sid wailed as he struggled in Abhimanyu's grip.
"Chod usse" shouted the other two in unison as they tried to pull Abhimanyu away from their friend, but Abhimanyu wouldn't budge. He'd never budge when it comes to Akshara. If only she understood that.
"Abhimanyu!" "Bhai!" screamed the Birla brothers, Haider and Kairav, when they came sprinting to the scene. Sid was left gasping for air when the Birla brothers pried their elder brother away from him. But, Abhimanyu's anger was overwhelming, and restraining him was trying to pry an infuriated and starving bull from its prey. Abhimanyu made numerous attempts to launch himself back at Sid while in his brother's grasp.
"Abhimanyu, stop it!" cried Akshara before running between the bull and his prey. Abhimanyu knew she was here. He could feel her aahat from miles away, but when she finally called out to him and clung to arms, his stupor broke.

Jab Tu Kareeb Aa Jaye
Jaaniye Dil Tune Chua Hai

Concurrently, Harshvardan Birla was out of his senses in irritation and embarrassment at the venue. His guests were staring at him expectantly as the appetizers and drinks were over, but no announcement was made. Many of the guests had early flights the following morning and requested the Birla's to speed up the announcement, or they'll have to leave without hearing it.
"Chachu, Abhimanyu, Parth, aur Neil ka phone nahi lag raha" said a pacing Shefali.
"Aarohi, Abhimanyu kahan hai?"
"I don't know, Sir," Aarohi babbled. Although she heard rumours of Harshvardan Birla's ill-temper, she was fortunate to not be at the receiving end of it until now.
"But I sent him to escort you and meet the guests."
"Ji Uncle. He welcomed me, delivered your message and then I rushed to introduce myself to the donors."
"So you just ditched him?" Mahima asked.
"Mr. Birla, aapka beta koi bacha nahi hai jo Aarohi uska haath tham ke usse babysit karo" reputed Manish.
Anand Birla rested a hand on his younger brother's shoulder in an attempt to make Harsh understand that Manish Goenka wasn't worth it. Not right now when Harsh's energy was better spent getting Aarohi to talk. Harshvardan, the towering man he is, glared down at her gobsmacked.
"I told him to follow me?" Aarohi justified.
"Aarohi, the point was for you to meet the donors as a couple. As the to-be, Aarohi Birla, not as Aarohi Goenka" Mahima chided. This girl knows nothing she thought to herself.
"Tumhare akela jaane ka kya fyda hai humari reputation ko?" Harshvardan was exasperated by the situation.
"Papa, people are getting impatient. You can't stall this further," urged Shefali to her father-in-law.
"Hum aaj naya wing announce karte hai aur wing ke opening ke din engagement announce karengi."
"Par Guruji said that there's no dates for that month" Akhilesh said with the Goenka family ladies nodding.
"We don't have a choice" snapped Harshvardan.
While her Bade Papa and Sir made the announcement, it finally dawned on her. Abhimanyu gayab hai aur Akshara bhi dikhai nahi rahi she realized. Agar Akshara mil gaya, toh Abhimanyu bhi milega. Aarohi called Kairav and scurried off to find her sister and fiance.
...
"Akshara! Abhimanyu!" Due to Aarohi's screams, Akshara and Abhimanyu separated in haste, causing Akshara's arm to hit the trashbin behind her.
"Ouch" she wailed.
Abhimanyu instinctively clutched her wrist to examine it. Aarohi fumed and coughed to retrieve their attention.
Abhimanyu dropped his hand from Akshara's when she said, "I'll handle it, Dr. Abhimanyu."
It is so strange how a mere name can alienate someone so dear to us, observed Haider as Abhimanyu shuddered when he heard her call him Dr. Abhimanyu.
Abhimanyu scanned the area in a frenzy before shouting, "where did those boys go?"
"Kaunse ladke?" queried Aarohi, still puzzled at the scene in front of her.
"Woh hi jo Akshara ki insult kar rahe the?"
"That's why you came here? To confront some guys who commented on Akshara?" But Abhimanyu paid Aarohi no heed.
"Oh, they seized the opportunity to flee while you and Akshara were drowning in each other's eyes," Haider's snickers invited a threatening glare from Abhimanyu.
Blood rushed to Akshara's face as she chided Haider out of fear and embarrassment.
"Tum theek ho?" Abhimanyu inquired softly, fretting internally.
"Haan," Akshara assured him.
"Good. Good." He muttered. Now I won't feel bad for yelling at you, he thought. "Tum yaha kar kya rahi ho?"
"Kya kaha?" Like Akshara, everyone present was unsure if they heard him correctly. Regardless they were afraid of what was about to come out of Abhimanyu's house. Neil and Parth knew Abhimanyu was heavy breathing and running his hands through his hair to recollect himself, so he didn't burst on Akshara, but the popped veins and the husky voice failed to give them hope.
"Tumhe ne kaha tha na, 'move on', to jab main move on karni ki koshish kar raha hoon toh tum baar baar mere samne kaise aa jaati ho? Kya zaroorat thi tumhe yahan aane ki? Dekha na, kaisa comments pass kar rahe hai log tumhare character ke upar. Tumhe nahi aana chahiye tha!"
'Wait! Repeat that for me. 'Mujhe apni behan ki engagement party mein nahi aana chahiye tha?' Yehi kaha tha na tumne?" Akshara stressed the words apni behan to articulate how crazy he sounded to her.
"Haan. Tumhe iss function main nahi aana chahiya tha."
"Log bolte hain kyunki unka kaam hi hai bolna, par uss tumhe koi farak nahi parna chahiye" Akshare retorted.
"Par farak parta hai! Aur tum jaanti ho ki mujhe farak padta hai"
"Bhai" Neil's heart sunk when he heard Abhimanyu's voice crack.
"Kya farak padta hai mere yahan hone se? Mera chehra dekh ka dard hota hai tumhe? Bura yaadein yaad aati hai?" Akshara prodded, pushing Abhimanyu in the chest with each accusation. Abhimanyu grabbed her wrist mid-thrust.
"Haan!" Abhimanyu jeered. "Tumhare chere se nafrat ho chuke hai mujhe issiliye nahi dekhna chahta hoon tumha yahan. Woh ladke toh sirf ek excuse thee! Is that what you wanted to hear?"
"Agar itna hi farak padta hai toh meri behan se shaadi kar rahe ho? Pata ni tha ki Goenka parivaar mein shaadi kar ke mera chera baar baar dekhna paraga."
Haider was sure if Akshara's parents were alive, their pride would know no bounds as their daughter went toe-to-toe with the beast.
"Oh don't you turn this on me, iss shehar mein kitne hospitals hai, public aur private, itne NGOs hai phir bhi tumhe Birla Hospital hi mila kaam karne ke liya? Wow Akshara" Abhimanyu retaliated with equal vigour, bridging the gap between them so the two could feel the other's warm breath touch their skin.
Akshara huffed in response.
"Akshara, are you trying to break my engagement?" Aarohi entered Akshara's vision when she stood behind Abhimanyu and tried to place a hand on his shoulder. Without breaking eye contact with Akshara, Abhimanyu warned, "Don't Dr. Aarohi", and she did back out.
"Guys, please shaant ho jao" Kairav pleaded as he saw the Elders arrive in the alley, bewildered by the closeness the two shared.
"With all due respect bhaiya, stay out of this. Ye mere aur Abhimanyu ke beech ki baat hai, aap logon ko isme parne ki ijaazat nahi hai." Akshara roared. Aakhir sherni ki beti sherni hi hai.
"Maine kaha tha na, mere raaste se haat jao par nahi, tum hamesha ki tarah mere samne aa jaati ho. Maine kaha tha mujhe akele chod tho par tum meri birthday party plan karne waapas aa gayi. Maine request ki thi ki taiji ki offer reject karo par nahi, tum toh seeda naukri pe aagayi dola re dola karne ke liya. Saach toh yahi hai na ki meri dil ki awaaz tumhe samaj mein hi nahi aati"
"Aur tumhe mera dil ki awaaz aati hai?" She asked with tears welling up in her eyes. "Agar tum mujhe bilkul bhi samajte, jaante, ya meri aankhon ko dekhte to sach pata hota tumhe, par nahi."
"Kaunsa sach?" Akshara yielded no response as she wiped her tears angrily, but before she could run away, Abhimanyu grabbed her wrist and demanded the truth again.
"Abhimanyu Birla, mera haath chodo" Akshara beseeched, not looking back, knowing that if she saw his eyes, she would never be able to keep quiet. "Abhimanyu, maine kaha mera haath chodo"
"Pehle sach batao" Abhimanyu held out for as long as he could, not caring a damn about what people thought, but when she pleaded in that quiet broken voice Abhi bas karo he gave in and watched as she ran from him once more. Aakhir haq se usne kaha chodo, toh woh kaisa mana kar sakta tha usse.
Next Episode:
Haider - kabhi kabhi lagta hai ki Sirat Aunty ki beti ho hi nahi
Aarohi - kya?
Haider - haan. Aunty toh boxer this, babbar sherni thi jiske khilaf jaana namumkin that aur tum toh Abhimanyu ke samne bheegi billi ban jaata ho. Tumhari self respect kahan gayi?
Anyone who wants to bash Sirat should stop reading this story. I'm not here for it. I love Naira, I think she was far better written than Sirat ever could be. Nevertheless, I believe Sirat was a good mother to Akshara. And I hate the difference people postulate between adoptive vs biological parents.
I loved it pls continue soon 👌👌💕
Same thing happened in Season 2 when Kairav was traumatized by Naira as she blamed him for Vansh's paralysis and he used to get severe anxiety...
Why why why is this serial number one? They have repeated the same story in the last 2 generations. I will tell you what will happen…. After...
