The way they keep blurring Adi's face out and he responded to Malini - I won't be surprised if he started with revenge and fell for Imlie - so its a bit of both.

Revenge was always there, but it was low key. And now it just isn't his family, it's also about avenging Imlie.

But he doesn't want Imlie in the line of fire. So he keeps her out of it by diverting the conversation to her future.

But still the revenge angle is not strong. Revenge could be showing Aditya the mirror to his actions or exposing Malini at time appropriate, so that he cannot get out of the pickle. I don't know, but the revenge angle needs to be bolstered yaar.

Imlie ke liye ek protector wali feeling hai. Usse jyaada hai ya nahi, not sure about that too.
