Also, I dont want Akshara to do this. She can cry, be green with envy or even angry at this whole mess but I do not want her actively ruining Abhis life.

What I don’t get is, if Akshu can convince the family for Arohi and Abhi to be together, why couldn’t she do the same for Abhi and herself. It’s just that she’s selfish in her need to win Arohis love/trust that she’s not valuing Abhi’s love, her love, or herself.
