Technically it is Abhimanyu who got played by both girls.

First akshara led him on the trip and later on didn't care about his feelings at all. Even in real life if someone proposes you that's not how u reject. U respect other people's feeling even if u don't reciprocate it. And respecting means being honest about how u feel. Akshara should have said I love you too but we can't be together.

And Aarohi led him on by presenting a false picture in front of him that she saved him

Its not Abhimanyu's mistake. Akshara clearly rejected him many times. So he is free to propose anyone he feels like and move on in life.
